Default Xb Is Dangerous....This is somehow going to fun..LONG POST!

Glad to pronounce that I am a PROUD owner of an 05 Scion TCM Auto xB. Today was a REALLY DANGEROUS but funny day...first..just pulled out of the dealership sitting at the light...this old guy in a cadillac pulled up on the side of me....I swear his eyeballs could have prtotruded through his glasses looking....then in my mirror suddenly he just smashed right in back of the truck in front of him...paying TOO much attention to my xB and NOT the road lol....pulled into the mall parking lot, getting out my Xb, old guy says to his wife in a southern accent "Martha what in the hell is that?..." "I dont know George lets ask him" the wittingly wife says....They ask...I say its a Scion......"A who?" SCION!...i say..."What is that" now in my mind I'm thinking about the whole toyota lexus scion lecture...but Nooooo lets see how this one turns out...."Really sir to be truthfully honest with you, this is a test car for Nasa...these will be the new Search Rovers sent to mars to do research"....I'm balling out laughin on the inside...then they both say..."Woooowwwww....we knew it had to be something like that" LMAO....I say" Yea its top secret..only a couple in the WHOLE world...top secret lets keep this between us 3 ok?" they agree and off into the mall they go whispering and just waiting to get home and spread the news....
Now since I am officially a Scion owner let me respond to a whole lot of posts I've read...TO ME....whenever I push the accelerator my xB punches as if it had 150 hp...very zippy had no problems getting on the e-way. Rides real smooth and surprisingly is very quiet at high speeds(Iwas doing 85) my bazooka is loud enough to scare peeps when they pull on the side of me thinking its just another wierd looking car with no beats....WRONG....quick cd change to some reggae did the trick...armrest thing...doesnt really bother me..would be nice if it had one but if I just rest my hand on the shifter it doesnt seem bad at all...One Complaint I DO HAVE THough.....whoever posted about the Xb and bugs was RIGHT....my windshield and bumper are filled with bug gutts, and I havent even had it a full 24 hour....guess I'll invest in a bra for it.By the way I'mnot sure if I'm the only one but I didnt get a manual for the radio..any tips on setting greetings and stuff?

I looked in my rear view this morning to see a POS motorcycle smoking his rear tire trying to stop before he slams into the back of my Box. Luckily he stopped in time cuz I had no where to go... Just my luck, the one friggin' motorcycle that doesn't dart between traffic lanes.

And BTW, quit stealin my jokes,

BTW #2, the spinners are to shield the equipment from the strong Martian radiation.

feel bad for the scion.. you hit 85 on it's first day?

i guess you're taking the "abuse-break-in" route..

congrats on the purchase..

As long as he doesn't do abrupt acceleration then driving at 85 during a break-in period isn't harmful at all. The speed isn't the problem...putting an engine under duress is...

That is a great story! I wish I would have thought of that.

Yesterday I was driving down the interstate on my way home. I was in the left lane going about 80 with the rest of traffic. I had a blue Dodge minivan behind me for many miles. As traffic starting thinning a little and the right lane became clear for a ways the minivan changed lanes and sped up. My initial thought was that she was one of those in a hurry and she'd cut someone off further up but I was wrong. She went just far enough up to see the front of my xB and hung her head out the window to look. It was so funny to see that lady hanging out of her window trying to figure out what I was driving. After she got her eyes full she slowed down and pulled back in behind me.

I go to a local restaurant for coffee and lunch when I am on twelves and dont have time to breath. I always get some old timer start checking out my Hot Lava. I watch from the counter. They look it up and then down and then around and then peek inside. They cant seem to get enough of it. They even stick around so they can ask questions. How much room whats the gas mileage and who makes it. Their wives like it to . They seem to like a good deal when it comes around . It the greatest fly trap of all time.

Man...I'm telling you its only been 2.5 days and its like I'm Michael Jordan or something. I've been keeping tally.....37 people have asked me to either roll down the window or just flat out ask what was I driving...One lady asked to sit in it, amd was surprised when she sat in the back it swallowed her...she was AMAZED...I think now the amazement is gone from me and I'm pretty much like "well yea what did you expect?"As for the engine and "Rough riding" ..I didnt GUN IT to 85, I just steadily increased my speed, besides that is what the service guy TOLD me to do TO break it in...besides I dont usually drive on the e-way anyway...just on roads and stuff to go to school. Thanks for all the congrats and keep SCION-ing!

I get so many questions at work (250 people in the building) and elsewhere, I'm tempted to go to the dealer and ask for brochures to hand out, put a little box on the side like they do for houses for sale! :D

When I'm sitting in a resteraunt by a window or in a store and people walk up to it and start checking it out to see what it is (all day long),(and with no emblems or badges anywhere) I like to hit the lock button on the keyless remote to make the parking lights flash a couple of times and watch them scatter looking like roaches when the lights come on like you've got a high priced motion sensor alarm on it and they don't want to set it off... It's pretty funny to me.. Especially with the old people... It's like watching a hidden camera show or something... L8R....
