Default XB ending???????

I was at a local dealer and was waiting for my oil change and starting bull$hitting with the guy.....I started asking him why they dont sell a S/C.....His response " theres no market for it"......I wanted to laugh and then told him that Greddy, Blitz, and P/E makes them and they are selling.....So he called TRD direct and the response he got was that they are planning to stop making the XB........completely
He said it wasnt selling as they expected......He said it will be next year or the following year would be its last...........He said the guy he called was from TRD and they were telling everyone that.........I dont know if its Bull but it really suprised me........I am seeing more and more Xbs.......and y such a short run??.........Theres other makers that have been sellin junk for years and there still going...

*sigh*

The original "plan" Scion had in mind was that each model would only run for 3 or 4 years - then be replaced by another model. All the while having 3 models in the lineup.

But this was just a "plan."

No one has confirmed it. No one has denied it.

It's possible (READ: NO ONE KNOWS FOR SURE), that it could be this theory in action.

That... or they're all morons.

You also have to remember that the xB or bB was selling long before it was available in the United States.

the xA and xB will be phased out in a few years... as for what year? i think it's undecided.. but it'll happen.

i just heard that the xB will be replaced with something with a bigger chassis... i don't know any more details beyond that.

The xB has far exceeded expectations. Any discontinuing would not be because of lack of sales. All Scions are in the top ten of shortest time on dealer lot - selling like hotcakes - with the xB near the top of the list.

The new xB is 12 months away from dealer lots. I know this for a fact from a very reliable source. I also know the details of the chassis, drivetrain, and a few other things. Unfortunately for all of you I cannot release this info without putting my job in jeopardy. Guess you guys will just have to wait until its released or until somebody with less morals than myself decides to talk...

OK, I can dig it. Can you please tell us if present owners are going to wish they'd waited? I bought mine 2 weeks ago Saturday and I am very very happy with it.

If I had to gues they are going to put Toyota's bigger 6 cyl. in it. I like my gas mileage just the way it is. Gas jumped to 2.79 Gal in Nashville, 20 cent jump overnight!

I can say it wont have a 6cyl engine but it wont be the 1.5 thats in it right now at all. I'll be selling my current xB to get the new one when it comes out.

Not related to the new xB is there any interest in a 4 door version of the tC? Maybe something like the Dodge Magnum but with a nice Scion price around $18,000?

no the chrysler k cars are not replacing xB's . the xa and xb will be done after 06 model year ;)

the xB's replacement which wont be named xb is very similar looking but longer , wider and is supposed to have the 1.8 liter 140hp corolla motor. it's uglier tho.

you didn't see this from me...

"....xB is due to be redesigned soon, and the replacement vehicle is expected to be larger than the current model....This photo captures a prototype mule, obviously based on the current xB, but stretched, which seems to confirm that the new xB will be at least a few inches longer than today's car."

and goll dern it, who linked a photo making me scroll right?...i hate that!.

Oh it'll be bigger for sure. You can count on that one. It wont have the 1.8L motor though. TRD already makes a supercharger for the motor that is slated to be in it though...

...does anybody remember what an old deuce coupe is???

Don't worry guys, Scion is a great model for demand, reliability, and resale. They just want to keep things fresh and almost guarantee high resale.

untill you put miles on it . well over 25k in less than a year and it's worthless. but yep used scions almost always sell for as much if not more than brand new ones.
