Default xB exterior question.

I will be getting my Scion xB very soon and I would like to take all, if not most, the logos off the exterior. I find the xB to look a lot better when all, if not most, of the logos are off. How would I go about removing the logos safely?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum....

The xB looks clean with all the emblems off, you will be able to find a lot of useful DYI information in the tech section.

Here is the link for the debadge, good luck!

Ah yes... Thanks very much. If only I had went through the site thoroughly.

Edit: If you don't mind my nooby asking, does the same method apply for the emblem on the grills? Just trying to be safe so i dont mess up stuff.

The grill emblem is mounted via a peg-release system that fills a hole. It's easy to pop out, but you have a big, ugly hole in your grill. If you want to use your stock grill, you'll have to choose between a big Scion logo or a smaller, cleaner Bb logo.

Some people replace the grills with Billets too in order to entirely debadge the box...

I love my debadged front grille

it's fun to park it outside of my store and watch people as they walk by and look at the front and figure out what it is...

I get alot of tourists that will walk by and peek in at it as I'm right on Connecticut Ave in DC...

I used dental floss on an unheated rear hatch.

the glue stayed intact and pealed off easily.

just take your time.

letover glue on the car needed no remover...just rolled off.

easy mod.

Seems to me that if you heat this as in the DIY forum, you are making more work for yourself.

good luck

Heh, I tried this method. It worked great for taking off the xB emblem and leaving the whole damn double sided glue on the car.

Took me like 15 minutes to take off the glue on the xB emblem. Cleaned it off, washed the car with turtle wax. Looks hella nice. I haven't done it to the rear Scion emblem, let's just save that for another day.

Oh, btw, I used a piece of fishing line that I let sit in hot water for a few minutes. Went through like butter. A rag with warm water took off the glue no problem.
