Default XB Factory fog lights

Hello guys, new here.

I have been looking around and it seems to me that 90% of the pics i see of ppl's XB dont have the fog lights installed.. Is it that the majority dont like them or is it that there are other better aftermarket fogs options?

I kinda like the look of XB's with the fogs ..

Just an observation.. anyone care to give their opinion on the matter?

I just wanted to keep my overall car price low at the start...well except exhaust. I plan on adding fogs myself.

Ive seen some grills that have the lights installed as part of the top grill...search around for grills and see if you can see em. Some are in this thread I think...cant recall.

I am curious of any fogs that would fit the same spot as the oem ones, going to do some searches myself!

I have them and love them...added them into my car payment every month. I think it is just about 6 dollars a month and I love the way that they look!

The xB has a very stark, plain look overall and I think the fogs blend right in with that look.

Ditto to that. I didn't care for the way the fog light "popouts" looked, so I decided to have the OEM fogs put in. I'm sure I could've gotten them cheaper elsewhere, but I didn't want to mess with trying to find some that fit perfectly and then wire them up.

I have them and I hate them. Even though they don't put out much light, I love the way they look. What I hate is the fact that mine get water inside and fog up when it rains or when I wash my car. Then, it takes days for the condensation inside to be evaporated by the heat of the bulb.

I have them and I personally like they way the box looks with them better then without them. I don't have problems with mine fogging up or getting water inside. I didn't put them on myself, I don't know if that has something to do with it.

I have them, an easy self-install. There is a tech article on it. Cost about half as much if you install yourself.

I installed mine myself as well. The install has nothing to do with assembling the lights themselves, so I'm assuming something just wasn't sealed correctly from the factory. But, since I put them in myself I don't think the dealer has any obligation to try to fix them.

Please save your money and install them yourself. It seriously takes 10 minutes. The car is pre-wired, all you do is replace the blanks with the fogs, snap the switch into your center console, and plug in the fuse.

I love mine... The light output did suck at first, but with yellow bulbs they really help you see at night. Also, I rewired mine and use them as DRLs too

I think you had some defective lights. Mine never leaked.

Mine came with them and I think it adds a lot to the overall looks, one of mine does tend to "jiggle" a little while driving though. I've never had a water issue with them either.

Dude, Kev,

Take the car in and get these fixed. If you have a leak and there's no big crack from a rock chip or something, it's warranty.

If you get flack from your usual dealer about it, go to another dealer. Simple as that.

I think I will try that when I get some free time, I guess it's worth a shot. There are no visible cracks or anything. I figured they had to be an isolated case of parts being messed up from the factory; I never saw anyone else complaining about the issue. I'll make sure to wash the car before I take it to the dealer so the lights will be nice and fogged up.

I have 'em and think they add a little more character to the front end.....not that the Box needs more of that.

Got them from www.toyotaparts4u.com for about 1/2 what my dealer wanted.

Took less than 30 mins from start to finish.

Yeah I ordered them with my Box purely for looks, I'm sure the light output maybe better if I used different bulbs, or HID's or something of that nature, but it was really to break up the look in the front some.

even if you do install it yourself, $200 is still pretty steep for a pair of fog lights

True.....but if you really want them, like I did, $200 is still a lot better than the $300-$400 most dealerships want for them.
