Default ...Get, but aftermarket....

Reems of info on fogs, everything you ever wanted to know is posted. search for 'fog' and read all the facts and opinions.
I feel the factory fogs are VERY bright and well worth it UNLESS you buy them as an option, $360 from Scion.
Buy aftermarket, I got mine off EBAY for $170. I installed them myself. The XB is prewired so you just have to plug in lights, switch and relay.

Buy bone stock.

Default ....NO....

03, 04, 05, 06 are all the same. NO clearance problems. I installed fogs. I installed a YDR short ram intake. No clearance problems, gobs of room.
What have you been reading? Stock intake box is about 2 feet away from fogs and the battery is between them.

oh, buy your fogs from TRDsparks.com and install them yourself, it's easy.

Also, upgrade yor fog bulbs. I put in luminics yellow's and I can see a difference.

The AEM CAI was hitting my fog light. VERY annoying. Dealer took care of it.

Buy aftermarket and install yourself. I don't feel that the factory fogs do enough to be spending over $200 for them.

I bought mine off Ebay. I thought the knockouts on my PW xB really made it look like something wasn’t finished or I ran out of $.
Easy install for sure.
I think they come with a 35 watts. Did you increase them to 55 watts or ??????

Repositioned or bent a bracket on the CAI.

yup, 55W. No issues with the harness after a year of use.

And again I've had no rubbing issues.

No pics, and even if I took some, they would not show you the slight difference. From what I have read, this only occurs with the CAI, not any other type. If I had it to do again, I'd get a short ram.

Problem with factory Scion fogs is that they are only mirrored in a small part (right behind the bulbs). Rest of the area looks dull gray. So, looking at the lens, it looks like they have a hole in them. They don't match the headlights. I ordered the factory lights and I ended up returning them because of that fact.

I found out that the JDM bB fog lights are fully reflectorized. That makes them brighter and they also look much nicer when they are off (as the lens looks nice and bright). And those are identical to the xB units except that the reflectors are fully mirrored.

They will set you back about $40 more. But IMO, it is worth it. To find out more info search the forums for JDL fog.

JDM fogs is the way to go! I paid about $285 and I know some of you will be like "What! $285, that's way too much!" But you know what, that's why I work my a$$ off so that I can buy good stuff and not lower -priced stuff and later on regret my purchase cause "I should have bought the better item."...

JDM fogs, JDM fogs...you guessed it...JDM fogs...

Someone posted a problem with fit on the fogs, but I don't think it was with an intake--maybe a supercharger or turbo. I have no problem with my CAI and factory fogs.

You will have to do some tweaking on the JDM foglight switch, since it's got a light in it and the USDM xB isn't designed for that. Peteski has an excellent post on the details. Do a search; it'll turn up.

I fully described the visual difference in my previous post. Electrically, the switch is different and doesn't fit the xB prewired harness. Other that the switch, everything else is identical to the xB factory fogs.

You have 2 options:

1. buy a standard xB foglight switch and use it instaed of the one which comes with the JDM fogs.

2. splice the wiring harness to the JDM switch. I came up with a handy tip about this. Search the forum for "peteski fog" and you''ll find it.

You can get them for $235 at
