Default xB question!

What other cars were you looking at when you were shopping for the xB?

When I bought my xB I was working for a dealer that sold Mazdas, so of course I considered the Mazda3 hatchback because I could have gotten it at cost. But after much deliberation, I went for the xB and Toyota's reliability...which went over like a lead balloon. But now I work for Scion, so it all worked out.

At the time I wasn't looking to buy a car. My fiance had to turn in her VW Bug because the lease was up and we went looking for her. She was looking at the xA. I saw the box and started checking it out. The sales guy told me to sit in the drivers seat and adjust the seat to my driving position which is seat all the way back. He then told me to sit in the rear seat directly behind the drivers seat and I was amazed at the room I had.(6' tall, 250lbs). I was currently driving a 1994 Ford Escort with 208,000 miles. Cars are not really my thing. I spend all my money on my motorcycles. But I was impressed with the xB and the price so decided to buy my first brand new car. 2005 xB Camoflauge.

Another F-150 Quad Cab, I was just finishing my lease when i saw some kid in a xB. Big change from a big truck,

but I sold my Landscaping Co. and I started a new job over a hour away so i bought a xB, still have a gas guzzling Explorer V-8.

I was in a severe car accident and my SAAB Turbo got totalled.
So I was sorta forced into looking for a new car.

I considered the Mini Cooper S, Caddy CTS, Audi A4 Quattro Turbo
and maybe a few others.

Sitting in the xB is what really won me over. It's huge inside,
and it's comfey. Two things I was missing with my Porsche 924S
and which I had with the SAAB that was totalled. If it weren't
for the lack of power, the xB would be PERFECT For me.

Realistically (I don't know if i spelled that right) I wanted to get the Scion. I was thinking of other cars,
but there were way out of my price range, such as a Toyota Tacoma, Volvo V40. I'm glad i went with my first choice.

Used Honda Accord LX and a used Subaru Impreza 2.5rs. Both were auto, but I kinda regret not looking at the 2.5 RS more.

Aztec (even though it is ugly it has plenty of usable space)
also looked at the Honda Elephant (Element) back windows do not roll down and you have to get out to let someone out of the back seat. This was a major negative

My man works at Toyota... he's been talking about the Scion since before it came out. I didn't like the xB at first but grew to love it after I drove it, sat in it, saw the RS2.0... hehe I wanted the xA but the issue with that was it wasn't as roomy as the xB. I know I want kids eventually so the xB was the best choice.

A Jeep Wrangler or I was even pondering the Sebring. Yeah, I know, keep it to yourself... Our Echo lease was running out and I wanted something fun for my commuter car. I've always wanted a convertible, but need one that the kids can ride in and I'm not a sports coupe kinda guy. Didn't leave too many options. If the Mini Cooper convertible had been out at the time, I probably would be driving that right now, despite the size of the backseat.

Used Contour w/ V6 & 5spd., Cooper S, I considered the Mazda RX-8, then I remembered oh yeah, I can't afford that right now! Chrysler mini-van, and yes, I too looked at getting a used Aztec. but my box came along at the just right time, and it was just the right box, that I took it, and I've loved it ever since!

None. I did some on-line research concerning the Matrix/Vibe, but that wasn't my cup o' tea.

I was looking for an inexpensive car to drive back and forth to work. Putting gas in the Minivan and SUV was getting expense.

I originally started looking at a Kia, when I realize that the xB was reasonably price and offered a lot of leg room. I haven’t driven my SUV since ;)

Heh, none...

I was reasonably happy with my Ford Focus ZX3 and just stopped to look at the Scions while I was already at the dealership (Ford/Toyota/Scion dealer).

I bought an xB...

That day.

We had to push their only xB out of the showroom to test drive.

Anything to get out of my Alero, since Oldsmobile is no more.
