It depends on how you drive and how you use your car.

If you don't usually have more than one or two other passengers and you don't carry bulky things often, then the tC is a great choice. It's more fun to drive and has more power than an xB and it's more solidly built and has a nice pseudo-luxury feel to it.

If money is an issue and/or you carry passengers & friends and bulky things like mountain bikes or bigger stuff somewhat frequently, like I do, then the xB is a perfect choice.

Can't say which is "better" really. If carrying stuff and people isn't a real priority for you then the tC is what I would choose. It's a nicer, quieter car with plenty of power and comfort. That said, the xB is plenty comfortable and has enough power for the average person to have a little fun as long as you get the 5-speed.

Hope that helps.

Luckily I have one (xB) and the wife has the other (tC) (and incidentally a neighbor has the xA)...

The xB is more utilitarian. The tC definetely a more refined interior and comes with quite a few nice things (such has the 17" wheels, if you like that sort of thing).

The xB is the 'be all, do all' vehicle to me - it might lack the nice things that the tC has, but it definetely has more utility. And four doors!

I guess it's truly a matter of preference and needs assessment. The xB won't win races off the starting line, but will get you to point a to point b. The tC has quite a bit of power, and is quite sharp, inside and out, but you may be giving up utility in the process.

i have a tC, and i think that i would have been better off with an xB. i usually do all the grocery shopping, and errans for my house, so having a bigger car would be great, since the tC is so small compared to the xB.. and with the cargo cover, the area gets even smaller. i see that you are 25 and so you may be having a family soon, so you may want to get the xB, not only for the kids, but for the items that come with them, such as strollers and etc.. just my two cents

Just look at them! Which one do you like better? Consider that the tC has a bigger engine. For me there's no choice. Just look at the box! It's the BADDEST!!!!! Just go and drive them both! I'm sure you'll be happy with whatever one you buy! Good luck

much thanks..

It looks like the xb is the winner amongst some educated consumer's opinions.
I have come down to this after opinion's from this post and another one and research:

get an:
06' xb (or 05'.. I don't really care about the controls on the telescop. steering wheel)
new not used.. (ok maybe used if the difference in trade-in/insurance is THAT great.)
and definately the thunder cloud metal color.. since it is not too light or dark and won't scratch as noticeably..
and also since I heard the paint job is not too too great I would immediately need to get one of those paint protectant jobs done..

as such found in this article on the famous techeblog website:
http://www.techeblog.com/index.php/t...epairing-paint

thanks once again.. now I just need to keep racking up those checks and checking on my stocks! haha.
