Default xB vandalism -- sort of . . . .

I've had my xB "vandalized" three times . . . if you can call it that.

First time, I had parked at the local blood bank, and I came back to find both outside mirrors folded back. Not damaged, just folded.

Second time, I had parked at a grocery store, and came out to find the passenger-side outside mirror folded back, again with no damage.

Third time, going home from somewhere, I noticed that the passenger-side outside mirror couldn't be adjusted out as far as I wanted. When I got home and looked at it, I found that someone had folded it partway back. I put it back in the proper position with no ill effects.

When I washed it on Friday, I noticed that the dust cap was missing from the right front tire valve. That could have fallen off because I didn't tighten it properly when I checked the air pressure, but I doubt it . . . .

It's a little unnerving; not seriously so, but it still makes me wonder why this is happening. I've never had anything like that happen with any other vehicles except for the time someone left a burning cigarette on the plastic seat of my motorcycle.

Anyone else have anything like this happen to their xB?

Sorry to hear that. I have had my xB only two weeks. I don't see anything like this happened in my parking lot. Hope it won't happen.

heh...

If I see a friend's car parked anywhere...I fold their mirrors and fold out their wipers.

I wouldn't worry too much. Maybe you have a secret crush...

Why people feel like they have the right to do stupid stuff like that, just because something looks a little "different" is beyond me............jackasses.

Ya just don't screw with other people's property.......period!!!

i can vouge for that.. many times i hear of a car keyed or tires popped is when they parked like a ____-head or tried backed in to look "cool" trying to show off their fob lights. yes i spelled fob lights the way i meant to....

either way sux man. what goes around comes around though rest assured they'll get theirs...

Somone once left a dollar bill on my windshield under a wiper blade like a ticket.
I was not sure if they approved of the car or thought I needed money!

Don't feel too bad in the last week I had someone rip off my front plate, now I have an excuse not to have one covering up the holes left by the screws.

Had my stock hub caps "borrowed", no big loss.

Valve stem caps stolen, again no biggie.

Today when I returned from shopping, came out to find someone PUKED all over my drivers side, covered from the outside turn signal to the gas door with what I think was noodles with Alfredo. Took all of 10 minutes. Now that was a real good one.

I am getting used to these things now, not the first and surely won't be the last.Have learned that people just don't have respect for anyone or their property. And some folks wonder why there is road rage.

I thought of that, but it happened in times and places that no friends or cow-orkers had known where I was . . . unless I'm being stalked!

Now THAT thought gets my paranoia going . . . .

Um, no. The first time was in a lot restricted for blood donors only and it has w_i_d_e spots to accommodate wheelchair vehicles, so there was a LOT of space around my xB, and second one was at my usual grocery store where I always park waaay out on the edge of the lot where almost no one else parks and there were no cars there when I parked or when I got back. I make SURE I'm in a space with enuf room whenever I park, so it isn't likely that I'm being targeted for my bad parking . . . .

Within the first 3 months of having my car I had the dust caps on my tire valves taken atleast 4 or 5 times. I ended up going on ebay and grapping a pair that you need a screw driver for.

I'll take mirror folding and vomit over what happened to mine. I parked outside the club and came out to find they had used a crowbar to pop my entire driver's door assembly out of place, and scratched and dented the door in too. Of course there were 6 bike cops 100 feet from my car, but they refused a police report.

Hmmm Don..... I hope nothing seriously happens to your box. I live in the same city as you do and luckily have not had any thing happen nor do I hope anything will ever happen...especially when I am done with my mods.

Move to SoCal...we're much more open-minded here (actually people rice out their cars so badly that a stock Scion is a fresh breath of air to most people).
