Default xB Wheel help!

ok i need to some help on wheels on my 05 xB, and i trust some of you guys(and girls) can help me out...i have picked out wide five spokes for my wheels...but i dont know what size to go with...17 or 18...19s are beyond my budget...i have a set of tein lowering springs waiting to go on once i install the wheels...i was leanin towards 17 but havent seen many xbs with 17s, mostly 18 and up...that has me thinkin 17s wont look good on the xb...so if anyone has anything to say on the matter...drop aline and take the poll...i appreciate it a ton!
thanks

Here's a pic of my xB w/ 17s.

I would recommend 17s if you are going to be using your car to commute. The ride is so much better. Plus you run less risk of bending your wheels w/ 17s due to the thicker sidewall, and its road absorption. Less sidewall, less absorption.

Granted 18s look better, IMHO, but 17s look just as good also.

I think 5 look the best, like the TRD wheels, however, six isn't bad and I could only find 6 I liked @ Tire Rack, so I got 'em, speaking of which if you haven't, go to tire rack and play around, you can bring up photos of your car and try all the wheels and tires and it even allows for the color of your car, pick a wheel with 3 different sizes to see the fuill effect, 16, 17 18, you'll be surprised, get 18's.

I like 17's, but I drive about 80 miles a day so a little extra tire is a must. Plus the tires are a little more affordable, maybe... I don't think the look is that much different between the two. Depends on how much rubber you want between your wheels and the road, if you have a choice of sizes in your style.

Id def say 17"s. More rubber, more smooth. plus like you said, everyone has 18's and well, bigger isnt always better. but the main thing is, how you feel about it, if you like the 18's, go for it, i wouldnt rely on peoples votes. . . just listne to what they have to say, then see what you think about em.

Personally, around here we have potholes the size of Buicks (the state spent the road repair money "elsewhere"). Running a 17 or 18 is just asking for a bent rim (or worse). I'm considering getting the EM-7 15" OEM rims and the TRD springs. I think it would look fine, especially lowered a bit.

I swithched from 17's to 16's and couldnt be happier. For one, no one else around me has 16's on their box. Two, smoother ride, better acceleration. Im dropped on tein s techs and i think it looks damn good. Just my 2 cents, but to answer your question... I f you are hell bent on getting 17 or 18, go with 17 for sure. Rubberband tires ride like crap.

i would recommend the 17's over the 18's & 16's over 17's because of the ride quality.

since it's dropped you might as well go witht he 17's 18's are going to be too big, and limit you turning ability. I have 18 now, and the tires keep running on the inner plastic of the wheel wells. Since it's lowered go for 17's. If it wasn't lowered stick with 18's.

I've been using 16s (245/50 ZR 16s) on my TBird for 10 years now. Couldn't be happier. :D

We just recently installed 17 X 7 inch rims with 215/40/17 rubber. We have a 2 inch Gold-Line drop and I must say the ride is way better than stock. If you drive alot, go with the 17's, I am happy i did.

I also installed 17X7 215/40 and the ride is much better than stock, I have 2 children so we use the car to go on trips and stuff, and my wife dirves it once in a while, so 18"s would be out of the question.
