xB Wiper Noise

I don't use mine because the rain we have here usually comes straight down and isn't enough to keep that back wiper wet enough. I'd love it if it had an intermittent setting.
mine used to do it a last month but now it dose not. who knows i was going to take it back to the dealership but all they ever say about the noises my car make is that they are ok and not to worry
The problem is that the window doesn't generally get wet enough for the wiper to work properly. It's useful in heavier rain, but otherwise, it's just the sound of rubber on dry glass.
Hmm... I live in New England and I use the rear wiper pretty much everytime I drive in the rain. It is not so much rain that gathers on it as it is the gunk kicked up by the rear tires. I find it quite handy and helpful.

My rear wiper was one of the first things to go. What a waste of money that was? A rear wiper is useless on an xB and all it does is scratch the rear glass and vibrate like heck when the bass hits.
Keep the rear window clean and waxed and you will always be able to see out of it. I've never had a problem seeing out it during ANY weather.

Better yet, just coat your rear window with Rain-X, and take that rattly wiper off altogether!
I personally think the wiper is a useless waste of money, I have never needed to use it. I just don't want to remove it and put one of those Home Depot plugs in it, I dislike those even more. I will just wait for a new paintjob and have the entire rear of the car shaved.
