Default Are xb's comfy for big guys?

I'm seriously considering surprising my hubby with an xb for his 50th birthday. He's about average height but pretty big around the middle. Any hefty guys out there who can tell me if this is a good choice? I'm also considering the Honda element...

Thanks!

Yes, Im 6'3" and 260 lbs..... It took me a while to find a comfortable driving position- but now its good!

Let me also add the the xB and the Element are on two ends of the spectrum.

The xB is on one side with all of the other small wagons that are FWD only- and the element is on the other side with all of the other SUVS on the market that offer 4WD as an option.

The xB is about 1000 lbs lighter than an element...

As long as you know the differences- my vote is on the xB!

6'5", 245lbs. I have a longer lower torso and I have great leg and head room. It has been an awesome car and I drive from Phoenix to Cerritos and Santa Barbara all the time with the problems. One is a 5 1/2 drive and the other is an 8 1/2 drive.

6'3" and 265 pounds. Comfort is great, headroom is ample and legroom is great. Reason I bought the xB was at an auto show the Scion rep told me to get in the front seat and make myself comfortable. I moved the seat all the way back and reclined a little. She then found the biggest guy around (probably 6'7" and 350 pounds and told him to sit behind me. He had plenty of room and also said he wanted one...LOL. Toyota has some damn fine engineers!!

my hubbie is 6'2'' and 250. He is the reason why I bought my xB, So that he could fit in "my" car. (How could I forget that it is so cool to drive?) He balked at it, regarding the small engine, but now says its fun, like driving a "go cart!"

I am 5'10'' 330 lbs (Lost 60 lbs in last 3 months) and I find the Xb very comfortable. Inside is really surprising. But this is only one reason to by this awsome car.

Get it, he will love it!

I think you got your answer..
I am 6'3 and 230llbs and I am comfortable.
I know several other "bubba types" that have xB's and they fit in them nicely too.

i think it's fine. in my opinion, the seats are a tad narrow. i just wish the xB came with a tilting seat feature and armrest to make the ride better. overall, it suits me fine. no big complaints.

Seats are a bit narrow. I wish they were wider, then all would be perfect. I tend to feel I'm getting pinched right at the kidneys, but tolerable. The only thing I miss about my VW Beetle is the comfortable seat.

I'm 6'3", 178 lbs and am comfy too. Scion Xb - not just for big guys! Got an aftermarket armrest put in. Works great.
