The coolest thing about the xB is that it is an inexpensive and "populist" car. In my opinion these are the coolest cars to pimp out. Ever seen a wood panel station wagon with fat tires and a scoop on the hood , low rider van with wire rims or a fat vintage VW bug? Awesome! It takes work to make you car stand out from the old folks (like my 33 year old ___). Especially when some of us old folks are gonna make our xB's the ____.

Great country we live in, our Bill of Rights doesn’t condone the right for anyone to discriminate against a group of people. Even if a group of people or the President thinks it is a good idea. Our Constitution also allows you so say what you want, as long as it does not infringe on the rights of others. If you can dish it, then you should be able to take.

I think there should be some sort of restriction, not to 30 year olds but to those over 45.

The constitution doesn't say anyhting about companies limiting their product. Look at cigarettes, they are limited to those who are over a certain age (Yeah it probably is because of health reasons ) But why not have a product that only younger people can buy?

The reason I say this is because at the local car show, i went to the Scion booth and there were all these old frugal farts that would just sit in the car for 10 min. when everyone else is waiting.

some middle aged woman got an xB in my town..... she's the type of person who drives a honda element............................................... god i wish part of financing was "not being in metapause or senile" cause it just ruins the demographic of the car... misrepresenting.

oh well, just what i think, kinda stupid, but come on, the woman was born before WWII......

I'm 28 now. I still play video games daily, rock out on my guitar, and am into cxustom cars...etc. None of this is going to magically change in 7 more years. Age really is just a number. It's about who you are and what you do, not how old you are

So would that mean that if you bought a scion when you were 34 that you would have to sell it by the time you turn 35??? How ridiculus. What are you going to say next....that overweight people aren't allowed to buy cookies? Short people can't play basketball? Women should stay in the kitchen where they belong????You just wait until you turn 35. Make sure that you don't allow yourself to have fun of any kind b/c you seem to think that you'll be too old for it!

I guess when your younger, you don't know any better and make comments like that. I'm 28 and age is a state of mind. Besides, why would you want to descriminate against anyone. It's cool to see and older man or women enjoying the car and same as a younger person. Your only as old as you feel!

Default new finance plan

a product that only young people could buy, would have to be really inexpensive, since generally people between 12-17 years of age have the largest amount of disposable income.
So lets see, maybe Scion could offer a new loan program where they take your milk money during the school week, and if you can verify that you mow lawns during the summer you could get approved for a Scion...

No, it's because the government has passed laws restricting sales of those products to children. The companies involved would just as soon sell cigarettes to 9-year-olds if they could.

Actually, they can sell to anyone they like as long as they don't tread on race, religion, etc. The fact is that Toyota knows that it would be stupid to restrict sales by age, because they would anger potential customers.

Those "frugal farts" were far more likely to come up with the money to actually buy a Scion than those impatient teenyboppers. Money talks and everything else walks!

When I'm 35 I wouldn't buy a cheap ___ tuner car, I would strive for something a little easier to make it go fast and corner well , (Hell I would die in another 35 why not die while having fun, either that or have a midlife crisis and go join a biker gang)

If you throw a rock into a hornet's nest, don't be surprised if a few hornets notice you. That _is_ what you wanted, right?

Y'all chill, my brother is just being an ___ and stirring up a little controversy. I'd say that Toyota is doing its damndest to make this a mostly >35 years old car so they can keep the brand image together. I don't see scion ads with middle aged women or old farty men, do you?

Listen up...I'm 45 and I play one mean mother f*&%$#@ guitar, I bench press 350 and the old johnson don't need no viagra, just a good stiff wind can get a rise outta me. Besides, if I was under 35 (and I was once) I wouldn't be driving this car, I'd be blowing doors off in my old Camaro. This is strictly a cruising kinda thing with the Xb, laid back and cool ya see. Been there...done that.

After I read the start of this thread, I had to go change my Depends What you point out on the current advertising may be true, but as Toyota studies the demographics of the ones plunking the money down, that strategy may change. They're in business to do what? Make money. They readily took my money. Sure, they might have given me the once over. I sure enough don't fit the target market. I'm 49, 6'1", 188#s, bicycle 4000 miles a year, sorta athletic, heels locked I palm the floor. But so what, it doesn't matter. Like George said above, the money talks. You wanna be upset at old farty men buying these thing? You ought to be raggin on Toyota for violating their strategy by selling them to us!

Default Hi!

If you have read this far, you must understand what an utterly inane thread this is!

Cool, huh?
