Default 2011 Body Kits and Headlight/tailight covers

Do headlight and tailight covers exist for the 2011? I haven't been able to locate them and I was hoping someone else had.

In all honesty, I haven't owned headlight covers since I had my Eagle Talon back in 2001, so I don't know if there is a better way to smoke the headlights/tailights other than putting on the covers.

I love the front end of the 2011, but the sides don't go down low enough for me, so I was hoping to locate some sideskirts and possibly a rear bumper for the 2011. Any ideas where I could get something like that?

Finally, I really like the front lower bumper spoiler that they make for some cars, and I wanted to know if they made them for the 2011's.

Thanks for your help!

Most people have been using the spray on smoke, because the cover market is slim for earlier models. So an answer to your cover question is NO, because they dont really make em now for older ones.

Forjworks has tail covers, and may make them for the '11. Do some searching and you'll find plenty of options.

3m makes film that can be used for the headlights, many tint shops are now doing that. For the tail lights, see what a body shop would want to smoke them for you. Theyll turn out a lot better than if you were to do them with some VHT or something like that.

I dont know, but the 5axis kit sides and rear may fit the 2011, i dont think the front will.

I checked out Forjworks. My only problem with their taillight covers is that they are attached with 3M tape. Which means you could walk up and snag them off my car with ease, and then I am out $175.

I will have to check the shop that did my tint, and see if they do headlights/taillights also. That is really good advice.

I will investigate the 5axis kit.

they probably wouldnt be able to do the tail lights unless they're smooth surface like the headlights are. I know in the 2008-2010 xB's, the tail lights have little circles in them, which makes it impossible to use the 3m film on them.

Obviously you have no idea how effin strong 3m tape is.. have you ever tried pulling something apart held together by it?! im guessing not cuz its some serious stuff! the five axis kit for the 08-10 xB's is held on with 3m tape as well as the ait kit and they cost over a grand... almost all rain visors are as well held on by 3m tape. even if it were possible to jus rip it off, which its not, whos gonna know that its not an actual tail light, especially if your smoking it? no1 is gonna be able to tell unless they either saw you put it on or you tell em.. As far as kits made for 11's you are SOL, i doubt there ever will be any either.

An alternate choice for the headlight would be to bake them open and paint the chrome portions for whatever color you want. I've got purple and have seen others in blue, green, black, and charcol. Gives you some more choices and doesn't affect the light output.

If plastic clips hold the xB together, imagine what 3M tape can do.

The headlight covers on my talon were held on with 3M tape. It took someone all of 6 seconds to steal them. Thats all my concern really was, was finding a way to secure them so they couldn't be randomly stolen.

I like the 3M molding tape, it holds spoilers on and would break whatever you were trying to pull off.

the 5axis side skirts will fit, but the front and rear bumpers are different. The taillights might have a different contour too, haven't looked at them side-by-side yet, so check before ordering any covers.

Judging by the comments here, I am going to assume that 3M has dramatically altered the molding tape since I last put it on. That is definitely good to know.

Is there a good place to buy the 5axis side skirts separately? I haven't purchased anything like that in a very long time, and most of the places I knew to go to don't carry it or don't even exist anymore.

I was actually rolling around with just my sideskirts and it looked really good. Recently, I put on the rear but still haven't put my front lip back on. I kinda miss just rolling around with the 5 axis sideskirts. I think the sideskirts alone would pretty good on a 2011.
