i was curious why did the 08 xBs only come with one back up light on the drivers side only. don't ppl need light on the right side at night time to see when they back up? not only that it justs looks funny only having one back up light. what do others think on this matter?

i agree too. it is very bright but agreed, one is not enough and it does look kinda funny only having one there.

The reverse light is actually asymmetrical that it still illuminates the passenger side of the car. I like the idea of having just 1 reverse light just to throw non-scion owners off. Scion is all about trendsetting after all. Just my $0.02.

 

I too like the single light. I dont have any trouble seeing when backing using the mirrors.. both sides... ya just got to remember to turn your regulars light OFF when backing & you'll 'see' alot more out of your mirrors.... It's a unique feature to the xB2s.. make no mistake.. single reverse light = xB2... jh

Based on the t2B concept which utilized a single reverse light, opposite to an exhaust in the bumper, as well as a single fog light on the front. Purely cosmetic design choice.

 

The single fog light is kinda... ehhhh

 

yea a car imo needs two of everything. doesn't look right without it even if its functional.

Anyway, if it wasn't safe, they wouldn't do it.
I think it looks good, and very unique.

actually i meant on the outside of the car only. and 2 fuel doors would be nice. i personally would like to be able to pull into a gas station and fill up from either side.

Two rear windows? They tried that on the '63 Vette and early VW Bugs. Wasn't very popular.

Personally, I hope they come out with a mod for the single back-up light to make the car have two. I like the single and if all the ones who don't like it mod it, my car will be more unique.

I thought of wheels, but that was too easy.
I was gonna say sunroofs, but my tC DOES have 2!
Should have thought of the back or front window, though!

Anyway, didn't they stop makeing the mini with a single in the middle and the newer ones have a pair in the tails?
