For example, will the first gen XB antenna fit on ours?

 

I was wondering the same thing...

All I can think is go to Lowe's, Home Depot, or any other place that sells hardware. Take off antenna, then match it up.

 

I swapped mine with a TC driver... I used a small piece of rubber hose for a spacer to fill the gap....

I got an aftermarket Pioneer premier. the AM sucks.. It has to 'warm up' for a few minutes till I can listen to baseball or hockey, but the FM is great! i cant tell difference...... & lvnbitzzzz. i am washing the poop off the car tommorrow, thank you!!!!.......... LOL lOL .. jh

 

I want a smaller antenna, though.

I'd like to get a shark fin, but I dunno... I'd rather not have the whole deal there in the first place. Lol!

Would that be xBMW now? Looks nice. I was actually thinking I would ask one of the 4 xB2 owners at work if they would be willing to trade antennas. The s2000 is shorter than what I want.

 

is the fin large enough to hide a sat antenna at the same time, say the xm micro antenna, if placed on the back side of the oem antenna mount?

 

rswscion08- was it easy to remove the antenna and was it as easy to install as the company says? Looks Great!

 

i love the sharkfin antenna but im not willing to pay $70 for it. if the price was a bit lower i'd def do it because i really dont like the stock one

dont buy it from some drop-shipper. recently the double sided tape fell apart (cause of my super awesome high pressure water) and i just emailed them and got new tape. i dont thing the drop-ship guys will do that..

as for the xm antenna, our stock antenna base is quite tall so you have to install it with it all the way back of the sharkfin. if you drill a hole in front of the stock antenna and lay it right infront of it then there will be no clearance problem. otherwise i dont really see how to can do it... then again, i dont know what the xm antenna looks like. i am assuming that its small and compact like the gps antennas..

i wanted one of those so bad.. but the damn shape of our antenna base doesnt let us get one of those awesome sharkfins

 

plus they are painted and clearcoated to order for 70$!

 

ill probably go ahead and order one in the next week or so once my next bonus check comes in.
