Anyone find any shorty antennas or anything like that? I have not seen any yet. I do not want to so the shark fin peice though.

Yes, but don't go to Sigma for a shark fin antenna. I bought the Visual Garage color-matched antenna from them, then noticed that Visual Garage sells the same thing for $13 less, direct! The one from Sigma was actually dropshipped from VG, so all they did was place my order and skim $13.

How do those antennas pull in the reception?? Since I swapped my HU for A Pioneer premium, the reception is lacking especially the AM, I I like to listen to my St Louis Blues Hockey! Rams suck.. 0-6.. but I gotta have my hockey..
do I need a new antenna?? I have the LOCAL settings on the reveiver set at max distance... it's still super poor..... thanks... jh

 

Did you...plug the antenna into the back of the radio when you swapped?

Here is something I have heard. You have to power the antenna in the xB. It has a powered antenna someone told me and that is supposed to help. I have not done it on mine. But I get crappy reception also. Just have not had time to pull the radio and power the antenna wire. Might be a shot in the dark.

lol, sorry, actually, i'm not eve aware of that the antenna on the xb2 and xd look like, the ones at my dealership had them removed to prevent petty theft. lol. sorry didn't mean to upset you guys. lol.
