In-Channel Window Visors vs Outside?

Has anyone had any long term issues with having in-channel window visors? I have a set that go on the Outside but water tend to get thru some of them.

I heard that the In Channel one can mess up your windows but I don't know if it is true.

They can. Stick with outer channel ones.

The Out Channels window visors over time the adhesive will separate and come loose due to weather and car washes. Resulting in separation and water getting through.
I had WeatherTech In-Channels on my 2006 xB for 9 years (2006-2015) Through rain and car washes over that time. Numerous window openings. Zero Problems.
Currently, I am using WeatherTech In-Channels on my 2015 tC RS9 for 4 years (2015-2019) Through rain and car washes over that time. Numerous window openings. Zero Problems.

IMHO, In-Channels are the Way to Go. FTW!

Only problems I've ever had with the in channel vent visors was rubbing on my window tint from the felt weather stripping in the window frame, and sometimes my auto windows thinking there was a finger in the gap and not closing all the way. I've switched over to tape on vent visors. with proper install you'll never have an issue of separation.
