i can tell you 100% they do NOT come painted.

 

They don't. They need a bit of prep, as I recall.

Anything plastic, and/or polyurethane, needs a bit of prep work. The mold release agent isn't a gelcoat like most fiberglass manufacturers use. It's more of a wax. If you've ever dealt with a custom polyurethane bumper or something of the like, you know what I'm talking about. All the wax/mold release agent HAS to come off. If it's not all off, the paint won't stick.

IIRC, eight08customs did a tutorial/DIY for one when they first came out.

Yep, the kit doesn't need to be prep'd though, its ready for primer right away.

hey trdsparks guy..can you tell us when the TRD front lower lip coming out? and if so ... pics please? I'm sure you have the hook up ;)

 

As far as we know TRD USA is not making any lip kits.

hmmmmmmm really ,then I dont know why the guys at VIS said that they are coming out in 2weeks ... that's weird.

 

Let me check on that and i'll let you know. I'm atill pretty sure its not happening but i could be wrong. I talk to TRD on a daily basis and its never been mentioned. TRD Japan has kits but by the time you get them over here no one wants to pay for them because they end up being a lot more expensive than any other kit here in the USA. But i'll let you know soon.
