if you have a better paint scheme copy this blank flie and paint it up in paint. should be able to use the paint bucket to fill in the rays and sun. done in autocad then saved as jpeg then opend in paint.

What color are your wheels?

I think your rays should match the color. So if you have black wheels, black rays.

Light colored wheels could potentially go with white rays, but if it were me, I would go crazy and get some white-wall tires to match them.

Until I know what the rest of your xB looks like, I can't vote.

If you have the extra money and were okay with painting your wheels, paint them white! And then follow up with the red hood with white rays!

That would look pretty sexy.

But if you wanted to be more creative on the paint job, consider doing a thin outline of black for the white rays. The black will help bring out the rest of the black on the car, e.g., the grill, a-pillars, etc.

The only thing that I'm struggling with is how the white rays just stop after the hood. There's no continuity with the car. And I'm afraid that if you painted the roof white to continue the look, it would end up being a poser Mini Cooper.

You might want to take your ideas to your painter, and if (s)he is good, consider taking his or her input and working with that.

Ooh, I have another idea, but unfortunately it'll cost you more money (like women, for example).

Consider getting White eyelids and then having the paint job from your rays connect to those.

I know, I'm reaching, but still. I'm sure your paint guy or girl can fab it!

i would over time do the entire car like this. the rays would wrap the whole body and probly do the inside white and red wit red or white rays and stuff.

^ If you're going all out, better figure out the cost to ensure you don't make a perfunctory project out of it.

^ for sure i will. in talks with some auto upholstery shops that would redo all the fabric parts in the insides. maybe seats too if i cant find some red and white racing seats...they are hard to find!

so far i think this:

Paint,Clear coat and Other stufff to paint ( 250$)
Labor for paint ( might be free if i do it) or my guy will do it for no more than (500$)
auto upholstery shop (who knows! maybe 500$?)
powder coat wheels @ ~75 wheel for 2 colors (300$)

total could be ~1550$ if i dont paint or 1050$ if i paint.

i could be way off tho...

I would maybe make a smaller version on just the left or right side of the hood and roll it down onto one of the fenders like they use to with the scion logos....I be watching this build grow. Great Ideas and I like the wheels too!

if you mean the sun part being smaller it will be when i do it. i was have troble with photo shop on this. and yea i will roll over the sides and up the roof.

the hood and side fenders will be frist because i know i can take those off to paint if i cant find used ones to play with but the doors/body/ roof/ hatch will be last

I had a minute to put this together of my thoughts.....You could use wrap to apply the decal and remove if needed. Guys around town here do it for about 350.00

Here ya go....
