Help Me Find an RS6.0 Rear Spoiler
So, I bought my new RS6.0 on Sunday 8/23 to beat the cash for clunkers deadline. The only two options I ordered were the RS6.0 rear spoiler and the carpeted floor mats. Long story short, my dealer can't get the spoiler. They only made 625 and Toyota/Scion informed my dealer yesterday that they are sold out. My dealer has offered to get the spoiler in a different color and paint it absolutely red to match my RS6.0. However, I'd prefer to have the genuine factory-painted RS6.0 spolier.
newscionparts.com had one listed on their web site, so I placed an order last night. They called me this morning to tell me they are sold out and can't get any more and would cancel my order. Bummer.
So, I'm going to call every dealer within 100 miles of Portland, OR to see if anyone has one in stock in their parts department. If I can't find one locally, I'd be willing to pay shipping to have one shipped to my local dealer for installation. If anyone knows of a dealer ANYWHERE that has an absolutely red RS6.0 rear spoiler in stock, please let me know.

Genuine factory paint vs. them painting it? What's the difference. Paint is paint, the factory paint vs. repainting one another color really won't make a difference in physical appearance & only you will know. The spoilers look exactly the same. You won't be able to tell it wasn't one of the 625.
Its like getting into a car accident & taking it to a collision center & them ordering a brand new bumper & painting it....you won't be able to tell.
Don't waste your time & energy, let the dealership get you one & repaint it to match the car.

they will no longer match. As I said, I plan to keep this car for at least 10 years, and I still want it to look good 10 years down the road.
Maybe I'm being paranoid, but I've seen that happen on several cars that have been repaired/repainted after a collision. I figured that the factory painted spoiler would fade at the same rate as the factory painted body.

As long as the dealership uses a quality paint you shouldn't have paint issues. Red is pretty easy to match (unlike Silver and Yellow).
LOL @ the Genuine factory paint. Just an FYI there is nothing Genuine about the factpry paint, it sucks.

"I'm concerned that the paint on the spoiler will fade faster, or slower, than the paint on the body."
My last experience with a red car was a 1984 Honda CRX. That was the first new car I ever bought and is was rear ended by a 1969 Pontiac the day I made my first car payment. The body shop did a great job on the repair, and the paint on the repaired section held up much better than the factory paint job. So, when I sold the car 6 years later, it was basically 3-tone: silver, dark red (repaired sections) and red/orange (original factory painted areas).
Of course, that was 25 years ago, and the car wasn't garaged and was exposed to the North Carolina sun. My new car will be garaged and I live in a climate where we don't see the sun nine months out of the year. Plus, hopefully paint technology has improved (UV blockers/inhibitors, etc.) over the last quarter century. Maybe I'm just being paranoid based on my past experience.

Thanks for the tip on the carbon fiber spoiler. I had considered it, and it certainly looks nice. However, I'm going as red as possible on my car's exterior. I'm going to add some mud flaps (painted red) , peel the black tape off the A-pillars. I am considering painting the grills and emblems red. So, I really want a red spoiler for my red box.

The original plan was to get replacement grills and emblems to paint absolute red and keep the originals to be able to return the car to stock. That way I'd have two sets of grills and emblems and could swap them in and out as the mood strikes me.
My current plan, before I spend any money on replacements, is to play around in Photoshop to see how the car would look with different color grills and emblems. I've also thought about just painting the emblems black so the back of the car will match the front. It seems kind of odd that the emblems are the only thing, other than the wheel covers, that's sliver on the exterior of the car. They went to the trouble of making special black grills, why not black emblems?
Of course, I just got my new wheels yesterday and they are silver. So, maybe It makes the most sense to just leave the emblems silver to match the wheels.

Mine is on the way from MA to OR and should be here late next week. The dealer I found that had them in stock is:
SULLIVAN BROTHERS TOYOTA SCION
800-722-8883
They currently have them listed on eBay and their eBay listing says they have 8 available. When I spoke to them on the phone, they were down to 2 - and I got one of them.
Once I located them and exchanged email to make sure it was in stock. I had my local dealer's parts department contact them to arrange payment and shipment directly to my local dealer. (I had already paid my dealer for the spoiler at the time I upurchased the car). If you've already paid for yours, see if your dealer will do the same. If not, contact Sullivan Brothers directly. They are selling the RS6.0 spoiler for $269.50. The cost to ship it all the way out to Oregon was $57.00. Since you're much closer, maybe you could pick it up in person, or at least the shipping cost should be much lower.
I'm thrilled my rear spoiler is finally on the way and will be here (and hopefully installed) by this time next week. I should also have my nf210s installed by then, as well as my Momo shift **** and sharkfin antenna.

I know nothing about the quality of the spoilers offered in that auction listing, or the integrity of the eBay seller. It could be an absolutely top notch part for all I know. However, I find the auction listing deliberately misleading, and would not personally feel comfortable buying from someone who is less than 100% honest in the description of the products they sell. The attempt at deception is rather transparent, but I'd rather not do business with someone of questionable ethical standards.
Starting withe the title:
2008-2009 SCION XB Painted OEM STYLE Spoiler Wing
It's clearly NOT an OEM part, but by including OEM in the listing title, they will be sure to snare all those looking for a genuine OEM rear spoiler. Ebay refers to this as keyword spamming.
They also state, in the description:
BRAND NEW FACTORY SPOILER IN THE BOX PAINTED READY FOR INSTALLATION
Yes, I suppose this did come from a "factory" somewhere, but it most definitely did not come from the Toyota/Scion factory. To refer to this spoiler as a "Brand New Factory Spoiler" is beyond misleading, it's a complete fallacy. There are enough ethical sellers on eBay that I will not give my money to anyone who deliberately tries to mislead their buyers. Obviously, you're not going to get a genuine Toyota/Scion spoiler at that price. So, why not be completely honest and call the item what it is without "implying" that is it an OEM part from the factory?

My absolutely red RS6.0 rear spoiler arrived at my local dealer on Friday and was installed yesterday afternoon. Here's a couple photos of it mounted on my car:

Yup, the Tanabe nf210 springs are sitting in the garage waiting for me to get off this computer and go install them. I had planned to do it yesterday, but due to a mix-up at the dealer, I was sitting around their showroom all afternoon getting my rear spoiler installed.
