You need one kit for each PAIR of bulbs.

Therefor, if you want to just do your low beams, ONE kit.

Low beams and fog lights? Two kits.

yes, low beam is the normal light.
you would have high beams but they wouldnt be HIDs since our cars use different bulbs for each and the HID kit onl comes with 1 pair.

legal.... unfortunetly not. no aftermarket HID kits are legal but as long as its not blue you can always say its OEM (original equipment = stock)

On a scale of 1-10 what does this rate difficulty wise... Im afraid I'll buy it and I wont know how 2 install it lol... I did redo all my lights inside the car (Dome light, Gaugeplate lights, AC *****) But im not 2 sure if I can handle something big like a HID kit... Any comments...

But I heard some rumors that HID is so hot that they sometimes melt the housings... Is our scion headlight housings safe with 4300k HID?

Also... I want HID lights becuz I want more light on the road.. But at the same time I dont wanna be flashing other cars passing by... Anyone else whos got the 4300k can tell me how bad or good the scion xb stock headlights handle these HID kits from HIDMOBILE???

HID's run COOLER then halogen bulbs. Them being hotter is a myth. I can literally feel very lil to no heat if I put my hand in front of those bulbs compared to my halogens where you can. They run cooler, use less power, and last much longer. Plus, they shine the road up like crazy.

like Invertalon said, they are actually cooler than halogens.

in this DIY the guy actually checks the temp of the halogens and HIDs. The HIDs were 5 degrees cooler

The naturally occuring body oils that are left by fingerprints will cause the bulb to get hotter than it should, and lead to premature failure.

yup.
just plug the new wires into the stock harness. actual HIDs wires are color coded. Positive to positive on battery, negative to negative and you're done.

what takes the longest is finding where to run the wires. if you dont care that people can see them then just place it away from moving parts. I decided to hide everything. if you want a stealth install run the wires through the square tube (where the hook for the hood is). there are opening on the bottom side near the headlights. its a little tricky but worth it IMO
