Why don't you just use one layer of 5% then double of 15%??
Double layer makes it worst for visibility.....

Ohh IC.... but it's best to keep it 1 layer for better visibility...
Thanks...
I've used white 18 LED parking/turn-signal light bulb....

That is a sick car, i love it.

Just a question about the reverse tail light, it looks great, what kind of led bulb is it, I know the bulb type, just wondering about the # of led's. Also, does it actually help with making things any brighter behind you?

Thanks, and NICE work on the ride.

Here's the reverse light thread:

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=199001

None of the LED bulbs produce more lumens (which is what brightens things up behind you); they just LOOK brighter and super white when you are staring directly at them.

I bought the 36 LED bulb shown on page 2 of that thread. Looks bright, but actually throws off less light away from the bumper. Immediately put the stock bulb back in, so if you want it, I'll sell it to you for the $15 I paid for it, plus actual shipping costs. I paid $25 for the bulb, shipping & handling, and insurance. I'm guessing the total would come to $18-$19.

I also have a 2-pack of the PIAA Super White 7440 reverse light bulbs that I'll part with... exact same lighting issues.

Yea, I saw the reverse light thread, I was just hoping someone figured out something and didn't post in the thread. My last car (98 Eclipse) had dual reverse lights that lit up the area almost as well at my headlights, and the reverse on the xB is killing me.

I guess add one more to the list of people that are working on a fix, I have 2 spare eclispe reverse lights that I am gonna play with and see about getting one to fit, not sure if it will help, but its something to do.

No LED's will be brighter than the stock incandescent bulb when it comes to the amount of lumens thrown off.
