Default MobileHID Question??

Where is everyone placing the relays for their kits. The website says the relays are not waterproof.

I heavily wrapped mine in electrical tape and its behind the drivers side headlight, standing upward... So that the wires exit from the bottom so water can not drip down into the relay. If that happens, you will get flickering, random turn off/on, etc... But you can get a replacement relay for $6 at radio shack if need be!

Is that safe? I'm still under warranty so, I'm a little cautious.

Does the relay heat up? I was thinking of Fab-ing something for it.

Do you have a picture?

It is cheaper and easier to buy a harness, plus all the time you save.
I was going to do the same, get my parts and wire it up, but after about an hour I finally stumbled across these guys on ebay for less than $11 shipped. Plus you get a 1 yr warranty. By the time you get all the parts and connectors you'd spend just as much if not more. I just got mine installed last night. It was a tight fit but the wire lengths just made it. It turned out to be a 60 amp relay, so if you could add more on it.

Been running the same ballasts for 3+ years without a relay, haven't had a single problem.
