Default Need help with paint touchup!!

Hey,

Just washed my car for the first time in a while... Tons of snow, sleet, rain, etc... Finally got around to doing it and once competed, noticed about six gashes, all together at the top of the hood by the windshield. It doesn't seem like rocks could of done it due to how it looked, but who knows... Anyway, they are really noticeable due to the fact they are down to the primer I believe (white showing on BSP), and I need to know the best way to try and at least, hide them from being so visible?

I am thinking of going down to the dealer and picking up some touch up paint, and in the next few weeks I will be buying my porter 7424 for spring. So with those tools, plus paint cleaner, scratch x, wax, polish, etc... What is the best method to do a touchup?

Ive heard use a toothpick to fill in the chips, let dry, then use a buffer to polish and wax the area and it should look better then before. Is this the best option for me?

What is the best method to take care of this? I really appreciate the help and really look forward to fixing those bad boys. I don't mind the rock chips on the front of my car, but these bunch of scratches/chips are quite an eyesore.

Thanks!

A lot of people swear by this stuff... after you use touch up paint, it will help take the blob down.

hmm, the langka stuff looks interesting, but don't know how well it would work with my specific situation, since they are not like deep dents/chips, but more like a deep scratch/hybrid. Dunno how well that would work out.

Would it work if I got some OEM touchup, carefully placed it in the area, let try, and then polished it out? Or would it still be blobby?

Here are pics of it... Almost like rock gashes. Might not seem deep enough to be blobbed or whatever but I dunno... lol

Update:

Decided to maybe try claybar and such, to see if it would help pull anything off. Did the clay, scratch x, polish, and wax of course for the area, and it turned out pretty nice.

It is still there of course, but helped cosmetically make it less apparent. Still prob gonna get some touchup from the dealer later this week and try to put a thin coat in there. See how that does and go from there!
