Thanks, I'm impressed with the quality and price. The paint just blows me away. Id expect to pay more than that just for a nice paint job. It's flawless.

Hi, I've had my '09 xb for a month now and really like it . The only problem I have is shifting the 5 sp. I 'm a trucker and have driven standard trans. for over 50 years and this this thing is kicking my butt.
Anyway ,I just ordered a spoiler, painted hot lava, from "the spoiler company" on Ebay . Paid a little more than semscion did. So many places selling them!
I just hope it looks as good as semscion' s does.
Gotta go ....John

Got 'er done today. Wingtech spoiler, Was a bit aprehensive about the color match, as the car has been repainted a while ago.

I did put some black electrical tape between the wing and the top of the liftgate. Looks alot better

Thanks Semscion for the good words, I do have to say that I bought it couple months ago painted that way.
Story is, there is a repair shop in town run by a young man named Seth. I've been going there for a couple of years now. He let me drive it once as a loaner and I kinda liked the strange little car with the 5 sp trans.
Fast foward to this summer- I was driving my AWD Astro every Sunday, 2 hours to visit my Father-in-law in a home. When the price of gas hit $5 a gal, it was time for another car that rode better and got 30 MPG.
Being that I have a fleet of strange cars and vans, I went to see Seth and asked if the Scion was for sale. He said he had to think about it.Called him a few days later and he gave me a price . So I stopped and it was all detailed, lookin good!
He did tell me that it was totaled twice. His father has a body shop and he painted it. Origionally it was the pearl met black.
Seth bought it when he was 18 and it ended up as a work/shop car.
Any way it's mine now. I am a detail freak and like to modify my cars and vans. Enough for now Wheeew ....John

Can I get your opinions on a few things?

# 1- Should I paint the window frames black, like 99.999 of the xB2's have ?

#2- Should I paint the Scion wheels back to silver ?

#3 - Would the elimination of the muffler (or resinator) at the end of the exhaust system and addition of a Y-pipe and dual tips make it sound too loud ?

Thanks for all suggestions ...John

# 1 - I don't think I would but why not take some black electrical tape and do a quick 'what if'?

# 2 - I think that would make the wheels stand out too much. I might try an orange rim stripe if you can find something that matches the paint fairly close to 'break it up' a little.

# 3 - Dual tips are a PITA as you'll have body work to do it right with adding a cutout into the bumper for the second tip. Not worth it to me for the cost given there is ZERO performance benefit.

Thanks MileHightC, Good points. I really like the orange stripe idea. The wheels are rashed up pretty good and that might hide that too....john

Thanks for the reply MileHigh, I like all of your suggestions. Especially the orange stripe. I'm looking into the Alloygators. Plastic edge protectors in many colors including orange and a bronze. They might even hide the curb rash! I'll get back...John

RimProtectors brand are better designed if you ask me. No glue needed and you can pull them out (very carefully with the help of a flat head) and remount again. And they come with a 5 year warranty.

On your car, with the current color scheme, I'd keep them black...but I'm probably biased as the wheels on every one of my vehicles are black (or carbon fiber, which is still black).
