Default Opinionsa on tail lights

Just would like to know peoples opinions on the stock tails that come with the XB2. Personaly, I like them. Kind of tired of the Altezza style tails that you see on almost everything nowadays. Especially when you see them on cars that have no other mods besides the tails (e.g. soccer moms and their Yukons, Suburbans, etc.). I'm sure eventually their will be all kind of aftermarket tail lights for this car. But I think I'll stick with the stockers. What is your opinion of them?

I like them. If aftermarket lights with different colored signals came out with seperate backup lights came out, I'd snap them up so long as they aren't altezza looking.

They're definitely not bad looking, though the red is big and bright so I plan on smoking mine out some when I can so they are not too stand-outish on the back of my bbc xb.

If a LED alternative comes out that isn't quite as "sore-thumb-ish" i will be on them pretty quick. Its my least favorite part about the car. Actualy i can honestly say its the only thing i dont like about it, but i've grown numb to them.

I think the weirdly located reverse light is more of a sore thumb imho. That might get smoked out too.

There will be LED taillights available from Scion soon but like the TYCs on the 1st gen they will probaly be popping up everywhere. On the other hand, I don't like the stock tails. I think they should have made the the lens flush instead of the "vents" it has. I have LED tails on my 1st gen and I love them. I think it looks kinda wierd being that I don't have rims yet but I will in the next few months. But I do have other exterior mods so they don't look that wierd.

I like the stock but I wish they put the reverse light in with it, i dont like the separate light.
LED tails would be niiice. Lock looking but LEDs- like Nissan did with the new Muranos

I hate altezzas, i dont think I've ever seena car it looked good on..... well maybe the IS300s.

Oh! I'm so glad somebody brought this topic up.

I CAN'T STAND ALL RED TAILLIGHTS.!!!!

They just make a car look cheap. I'm just not understand ing why some Manufactures are doing this . Give me the Amber turn and Red stop light .
Please!!

Altezza style as long aty it has amber. There are a few things i would change on the xB2 but the taillights would be 1 on the list.

To Scion - Why make faux LED design and just make the whole lens red? Why!!? Customers who like all red could have done it on thier own.

You can see how angry to makes me feeel . I meant to say give me Altezza Style as long as it's Amber and Red..

Also I get Back-up light but If i was Scion I would put it llower int he bumper and raised the exhaust exit higher to get more of the t2b feel. or at least center the Back-up light.

It's funny, when I first saw pics of the new xB, the taillights looked good to me. Then when I saw it in person I could see the little faux LED dots on there. They definitely should not have put those dots on there. At least not on the outside of the lens. They could have put that design into the inside of the lens, but left the outside smooth and it would have looked fine.

I dunno if anyone else has experienced this, BUT has anyone else noticed that you weren't being noticed while backing out of a parking space? It's happened to me a few times and I'm pretty sure it's not because their looking at the car trying to figure out what it is...?

OK, so I'm going to agree.... as about 2 hours ago I backed in to someone who did not see me pulling out, and was flying into the parking space next to me :\ I'm pretty p.o.'d. He said he didn't see me, and couldn't figure out why I didn't see him... Insurance companies been called so hopefully I can find out what its going to take to get this all repaired. BUMMER.
