I'm taking a road trip soon in the desert and want to protect my paint. I've seen a picture somewhere of a tempory front end paint protection idea that was applied for a road trip in the desert. I remember it was blue in color. Does anyone know what it was and where to get it?

 

It's blue painters masking tape (2" wide) that you can buy at any home supply store such as Home Depot, Lowe's, OSH, etc.

Thanks for the replies, how long can I leave it on? I'm concerned about the tape sticking to the paint. I'm sure it will get pretty hot. Does it need to be removed immediately after arriving. Thanks
