Default Puddle Light On Five AD Kit

After getting some inspiration from NEAK on his thread...https://www.scionlife.com/forums/sho...=puddle+lights
I went ahead and purchased some from Sean @ http://www.ledmod.com

So...before I send the kit to Midnight Garage (Ross) for fresh paint. I decided to Dremel the holes and mock up the Puddle lights...

Here is a sneak peak on the process.

They sit so flush against the kit that you cant even tell they are there.

Nice install, thinking I may do the same. I noticed that the 1/2" hole looked a little out of round. If you're using normal twist drill bits, that will do it. I find that using a stepped bit gives a very nice hole without the usual three direction chatter that a twist bit makes. A stepped bit is almost all rim, with two cutting surfaces, so the bit doesn't have a chance to wander in the hole.

Dang, everyone is stepping up their game! Hey Digon, do you think it's possible to do this mod with the sideskirts STILL on the car? And, where does the wire come "into" the car? Where do you tap the wires?

Yes, you are correct. I tried to get it as neatly as possible. The good thing is that once the puddle lights are in you don't even see the hole, I'll upload some more detailed shot when I get home.

I don't recommend that, but Im sure you can you would just need to be very careful and definitely have the car jacked up. There is a small cap that seals the outer element from the cabin, it can easily be popped out, Im honestly not there yet but ill post updates as I move on with the process. Stay tuned though lOl

Hey Mike, did you remove your sideskirts or just left them on? Removing the double sided tape is such a huge PIA...

i gave the job to Limitless.. i think its possible so long as the car is up and you can fit underneath with a drill. i would think its possible to do with it on the car albiet a little difficult if you cant get the car high enough

also be sure you line it all up if not it might look weird.
