Default Someone broke off my antenna

Some punk just walked by my friends house where my car was parked on the street and broke off the antenna. The mast is gone but the base is there. Only problem is that the part of the base that had the threads to hold the mast is broken off.
I got 200 bucks for insurance but the base is 290. They also ripped off the rear windshield wiper but I'm planning on just taking that off for a cleaner look.
Any how I got a bolt that the antenna can thread into but that would still be hard to make sure to epoxy it in there with the metal still touching. I'm not really sure what to do. Are antenna plugs pretty much universal? Is there something aftermarket I can get for a lot cheaper?
I've noticed identical antennas on some other cars like some Subarus i think, so maybe i can go to the junkyard. I doubt they would have too many 2008 scion xBs in stock

Any suggestions?
Think

Get satellite. I haven't ever used the AM/FM antenna.

Looks interesting, but with the female thread base of the base piece damaged I dont know if this would work.... It might just be a matter of getting the metal to touch...
Thanks for that idea.

My problem is that part of the base is broken too. There are no threads left on the base for something to simply attach itself.... I need a whole new unit.

Am reviving an old thread.
Just fixed my broken antenna with a shark fin cover from aliexpress.
As stated earlier, it just need to contact the metal. I just used a small metal screw and a washer to attach the connection from shark fin to the broken antenna base. sorry forgot to take pics and its stuck on now.
Great improvement over no antenna.
Hope this helps someone as I had a hard time finding a verified solution to this.
