Default suggestions on a front grille?

I am looking for a new grille for the xb.

Any suggestions on the different types and which one you prefer on your box?

If you could also include a link or make/model. That would be great!

It would be for the upper and lower and the color is bcm, if that makes a difference.

Thanks all

im rocking the grillcraft grill. i love it. never had a 2nd thought about it. heres a couple pics to sell you.
my only gripe is the cutting of the grill, if your not used to cutting parts of cars its a little nerve racking but its easy just take your time.
I went with grillcraft over the fig grills because the fig grills leave a gap above the grill, which is why i took the zoomed in picture. i also think they look better.

Nice..same color as me too!

so you did have to do some cutting even though they were made for the 08-09 xb?

where did you have to cut?

Rather than start again from scratch, take a look at this:

I also have a BCM xB2 with a Fig Engineering grille. Here's how it looks:

As far as cutting, that wasn't required at all... maybe a little extra bending here and there to make it fit perfectly but not bad at all... and you just gotta drill a few small holes here and there to hold it in with some zip ties that are included.

@xbaholic: Loving those faux vent LED's. Do you engage them with a switch, or do you have them spliced into your lights so it turns on when you turn your headlights on?

I've been thinking about something like this for a while and I'm still undecided.

My friend wired them up for me. He hooked them into the headlights so that whenever those come on, so do the LED's. It's a pretty bad ___ look. I like them a lot, I got mine from Oznium. The ebay ones look like crap imo.

Well that's good to hear. I keep wanting to do something with those vents, and I'm pretty positive I want a TRD Cold-Air Intake, but at the same time, I feel like I want to insert some lights in those vents. lol

Oh, but back on topic, what other grilles are out there that are exciting?

I really like the one from FastScions, but the FIG grille is probably what I will be switching out my stock one to. Since I'm running a Black/Chrome/Yellow/Silver theme on my CSM box, I will be branding a yellow "xB" logo on my grille.

pyroman, I haven't seen anything yellow on your box except the stripes on the wheels. You need to paint the calipers yellow to compliment the wheels soon, or your xB will shortly find it's way to the RICE thread in the off-topic forum.

j/k.... as far as you know.

Well I have those and a Tenzo R CAI, runs just fine even if you don't want the lights, Fig always makes replacement grilles for that area... just a thought.

...anyways, back on topic!

you have to cut the original factory grill. the directions on grillcrafts website shows pics. Its more expensive but i think that grillcraft looks better. I think the fig grill looks like mesh you can get at home depot.

But as always. to each his own.

To cut i used an airsaw (or you could use a dremel) and then a right angle air grinder to finish it out. It took me about an hour since I took my time.

@CIONIDE: Watch it, old man. lol

I was going to get it done right away this summer, but long story short, I went through a very bad break up with my stupid girlfriend.

I WILL be painting my calipers in July, though. I made sure to request some time off from work. Hopefully I'll have enough funds to get my sway bar, too. And then after the grilles. Or the sunroof. I haven't decided yet. lol
