hey I am gonna be fabbing a custom grill and was just wanting to see what people have come up with. I have been waiting patiently for what seems like forever for stuff to come out but im tired of waiting and looking at my oem grill. So post up some pics of what you have come up with! I am gonna be going with the mesh grill look. lets see some custom grills!!!

here is what i came up with guys i ended up just getting some black mesh grill crap from a local racing shop and cut up my stock grill and went to town bending and cutting and here is the finished product...... let me know what ya think

 

looks very nice...I just painted my grill/emblem semi-flat black and surprisingly people can tell the difference. Oh and I also have a custom rock chip on my windshield

 

^^I'd take that over, what's available currently aftermarket wise. Nice job, looks good.

yeah i painted my emblem flat black but i just couldnt get used to the look so thats why i decided to fab my own grill up it was suprisingly a quick fab just over an hour. I cut out the center of the stock grill so there was just about 1/8th inch of total border for the grill and it would slide right into the stock location without any issues (i love my dremel) and then i went to town bending and cutting the mesh i used the section that i cut out of the grill as a template for my bends and you can see in the pics that i molded the mesh to the inside of the oem grille on the bottom and the sides and above it on the top and it came out suprisingly clean.

The FIG engineering grille looks a lot like that...

 

but mine cost only a fraction of the what the others cost and i got to put a lil tlc into my baby the whole project cost me less than 35 bucks!
