Default Wedge chop top almost pau!

Aloha,

I planned on doing this chop for a few weeks, and last weekend it finally began.
We was planning on working on it for at least 3 weeks to a month, but surprisingly, its taken only 3 full days and we are almost pau. We only have the window frames today to do then its all complete. Next would be the body working and the painting then pau hana.

Here's some pictures of the process, not in direct order of the work that was done, but just random.

By the way, I was very disappointed on the lack of info on doing this process on a scion xb 2nd gen. The others who have done his for some reason seems not to want to give out the info on how it was done, so I guess nobody can copy them.......me on the other hand, I will be sharing all I did and answering all questions so others will be able to use our technique, or create a better one then what we did. I hope me posting all the info will help others create their dream.

As far as I know, there are only 4 chop top scion 2nd gen xb that exist after google-ing it for a few weeks.
ad as far as I know, there are no Panel truck Scion XB anyway.

Of course there might be some others around that are not widely known. But Im willing to say, the likely hood of a scion xb panel truck does not exist yet..........until mine is pau today.

Well, anyways braddahs and titas, enjoy da picture show k.

Mahalo nui loa.

This is a photo shopped version of what I vison my XB looking like onces its pau (finished)

I brought it out of the car port so i could clean up a little bit and also it lets me take some side shots and other angle shot so i can see how it looks. Maybe I should go lower? Its been dropped 5 inches in front already, back end stock height

Ok, I wasn't satisfied with the look of the roof, so I went outside, grabbed my tape measure, then grabbed my saw and began cutting. I went down another 1 1/4 for a grand total chop of 6 1/4 inch wedge chop top.

My buddy (on the right) and me (on the left) working on the scion.

I used the piece that was cut out of the "A" pillar to fill in the open spot of the back lower roof, with a little cutting and fitting, it worked out nicely.

After we cut the bottom of the "B" pillar, we decided to go a different route, so we welded it back up, then cut out the upper half, split the uper half in the middle, made a relief cut to angle to back window part of the pillar upward, then set it to where it matched up with the lower roof. today we gonna add in a piece to fill in the split.

Can't wait to see the finished product. Question though.

I'm 6' tall and where I live most redlights I pull up to I have to lean forward to be able to see the redlight. Do you think you'll have this problem with the lower roofline?

Wow Cuz! Shame we won't see it live back in the islands! Could I bribe you with a couple boxes Leonard's Malasadas or maybe some coco puffs from Liliha? Is someone cutting the windshield down to size to fit? Speaking of, there's no way I would fit: my seat is down all the way and I'm still close to the roof!
