I would not say its a pain to install just found it weird how I spent a couple hundred dollars on this new grille and its held in with zip ties....?? Its and overall good grille and I like it a lot more then my factory grille.. its unique and I have not had a problem with any of the zip ties or the grille itself.. I would recommend it to others

I have the billet grill off e-bay from grilles4you (i think) Fits perfect and is good quality... The top replaces the stock one and bolts into the OEM location... The Bottom goes over the stock one and attaches to it... For the money they are awesome... I just need to powder coat them gloss black now...

^^I looked at those and could convince myself to get one that just covers the stock grille... how do you like that? what would you rate that grille overall

They are really good... Like i said before the top is a direct replacement and the bottom goes over the stock one... Best ones IMO...

On the bottom not really cuz the billet grill and the OEM one both have horizontal bars... Plus i painted my aftermarket one black so they blend in together...

Grillcraft that I recently installed on a friend's xB...

I think if she painted the core support a matte black, she'd be set! :D

It does not use zip ties. It attaches by the means of 5 mounting tabs around the upper and lower perimeter of the grille. There's a full step by step how to on the Grillcraft site. Very informative.
And I'm pretty sure you can get this from any number of vendors on ScionLife, like NoLimitzInd. :D

I remember why I bought the fig grilles too.. I have an injen cold air and it goes down far into the bumper and I wanted that plate to have holes so the intake could breathe and thats why I bought the whole set of fig grilles.. they where the only company I could find that did the whole set and was at a good price

i'm about to order stainless steel mesh and cut it to fit my grill, i've found a way to install one on my own. I'm confused though,
i can order is with
10 openings in the mesh per INCH
6 openings
or 4
I'm not sure what the standsard would be, and what would be too much
Does anyone have any nukmbers on theirs with a picture possibly? Thanks

Are those openings per inch based on a square inch or linear inch.

The fewer openings per inch, the more you'll be able to see through it; but the more openings per inch, the more it will constrict airflow due to the extra mesh. It won't matter for the top grill, but if you'll be doing a matching bottom grill the lower airflow might not be as good.

Maybe people with other aftermarket grills, such as the Fig or GrillCraft, could post up some estimates of the openings per inch.

i have the fig grill and i love it. i painted it myself. i though the top install was easy. but i thought the bottom was a little harder. since my car is lowered, i could just get my head under to see what i was doing. i could have jacked up the car, but that would have been too smart. overall i love the grills. i really need to get some pics up. i also have bats overlay and they look great together.

More info? Hell if I know. Her hood looks fine to me, minus the color not matching 100%. And the color not matching is all due to a clearbra. Hence why I highly suggest against one.
