well, one week old xB and i have a nice growing crack across my windshield ...started as a rock chip, started spidering out a day later...worst part: since the '08s just came out, i have to wait for the windshield company to receive the ordered replacement from the dealership

just wanted to let the word out...stay out of flying rocks' way ...i'll snap pics of the damage tomorrow

They slip right on. Some people like the JDM models--but those are both U.S. Domestic issue!!

Like the pix, good for a laugh. Not to start a "sky is falling thread" but my xB also a little more than a week old now has a crack about 10" long in it. No signs of a rock chip at first, but upon further examination by service manager at local dealer a chip was indeed determined to be at fault. Are these winshields up to snuff??

 

Luckily I haven't gotten anything like it yet. Well, I try not to drive on the highway...if I can.

 

well, the windshield arrived at the dealership this afternoon so the cracked one can finally be replaced...haven't gotten a chance to take a pic yet cause i've been too damn busy with finals...i'll try tomorrow

The new xB I drove at Exposed on Saturday got a windshield cracked from a passing dump truck. You should of seen the guy when he got out - I didn't do it, it fell from a truck!

Course I drove that one and had to laugh that the car wasn't even sold and the windshield got cracked.

 

same thing happened to my homies car. the 2nd day he owned it he got a really small chip. then the heat just made it spider web. he priced it at the dealer and it was like $800 dolllars!!!!

 

dang, forgot about this thread...WOW...$800!!...i just did a windshield claim through my insurance and went with the windshield company i always use....took like a week for the dealership to get the windshield...

2nd day man........Freakin "Rock" the size of a half dollar off a dump truck.....I saw it coming in slow motion like in the movies Thank god.....it hit the front of hood I'm waiting for hood protector from dealer......Those dump trucks with those half BS nets that cover the bed
