Default XB2 eyelids, anyone got these

I saw the forjworks eyelids but at $150 painted, not the cheapest. Came across these the other day for less than half the price. Anyone have these? At $69 painted and shipped I'm tempted just to see.

Have you had any problems with yours? I was one of the first people to get them as well and mine are cracked in like 3 spots.

Sorry to here about your NIA EYELIDS CRACKING

Why forjworks cost more..
1 www.Forjworks.com will guarantee there product and would have replaced it free of charge if the product is defective

2 Matrials used are of the highest quality and very durable

Can the other brand do this?

I was just more wondering if anyone had issues with theirs, was not out to bash the product. Honestly, when I bought the NIA eyelids it was more of a temp mod and just to give the front a different look. I will be purchasing a carbon fiber hood soon and am not sure how the eyelids will look with the new hood anyway.

I did contact NIA when I noticed the cracks and they said I could send them back to them for them to look at and fix. My only issue with that was the fact that they are cracked and will break more when I pull them off.

Nope don't know how they cracked. They both cracked in the same spot, right at the bottom of the "hump" on the eyelid. I am not too worried about it I was just curious if it has happened to anyone else, so far it seems as though I am the only one...

When is Forjiworks coming out with the carbon fiber ones? ball park on pricing?

Here you go, from the topic in the Owner's Lounge.

Then probably a custom paint job for the mirrors, maybe a black-headlight mod to accent it, but then again it might be too black. Oh, and of course, at the back of the tailgate, you'd want to get that garnish painted black, too, with a VG Nightshades tint on the tail lamps.

It'd look sick. Do it.

We are seeing how the demand is for CF ..

those fiberglass eyelids prob cracked becuase in the process in making fiberglass eyelids. the first step is to use a few layers of gel coat so you get a smooth finish. after the gel coat they lay the fiberglass. The gel coat is very hard and brittle.. and there also might be a chance that when laying the fiberglass over the gel coat there might be an air pocket.

IF you ever saw a bad fiberglass kit there are tons of air pockets in which if you dont fix right it starts cracking.

I dont know what process is used for these eyelids but thats the process that is normally used.

I do not think I would go down this road either... I am probably going to pull mine off once I get my CF hood as I don't think it will look good with the white eyelids and the CF hood.
