Maybe it is because I am used to sixes and eights, but that is really not my cup of tea. I am hoping that someone out there can make a quad-tip exhaust like the show car that isn't much louder than the stock system, but I am sure I am the only one in that market.

Way to be the first though!!

I'm going to be putting a Magna flow muffler on it, it's got more work to be done on it. I want it deeper, like the 1st gen TRD but still loud

Did you just take out the mufflers and change the tip or did you go from the cat back?

i am really wanting to put headers and a full exhaust on mine but the dealership is threating that my warranty will be voided. if so does it just void the exhaust and headers warrenty or the motor too?

From my experience with my last car (2004 Mitsubishi Eclipse) a dealer cant void a warranty unless they can prove that whatever problem you're trying to get covered by the warranty was the fault of the modification. Though this really applies to cold air intake, header, and catback. When it comes to things like ECU'sd being modded or wires being cut, then they can void it. What happened to me was I had a piggypack computer (SAFC II) hooked up. One day my car started having one problem after another, like a dominoe effect, until it came to the point that my car was not starting or was cranking or getting any dash lights. Had to take it to the dealer and when they saw the SAFC II, they immediately voided my warranty and said I'll have to pay for the repairs. They thought for sure it was my ECU was fried. Car sat in the shop for about a week and a half before they found out it was the kill switch to my alarm had gone bad and made the car act that way. I was charged $500 just to remove the alarm system(aftermarket). But they had also removed the SAFC. Anyways the warranty got voided, which I didn't care cuz I only had about 2000 miles more before it would of expired. I would say if you wanna do it, then do it. But if you need to go to the dealer for any service, put your stock system back on. Usually isn't too hard if you are car savy.

My mom just put the TRD axelback on her xB2 this weekend and I have to say that Im very dissapointed . You can barely hear the thing! Maybe there is a trick to it or somethin I dont know about, but it sounds just like stock. Thats sad too cause she was desiding either between the exhaust and the fogs, 400 bucks for no difference. Shes upset about that. Whats the deal? Is there any cheap way to make it louder? please help.

Maybe TRD changed their axle-back design because mine sounds nothing at all like the stock muffler.

The TRD axle-back will never be loud or ricey sounding so if that's what you want, sell it on ebay and get something else. If you want a deep, throaty sound that doesn't attract cops like a donut shop, give it a chance to break-in.

yeh, I think it just has to break in because it is starting to become a more noticeable deep tone. kewl
