Default 2011 Warranty question

I'm going to schedule an appointment at the scion dealer to have my valve tap fixed on my 2011 Xb, but I wanted to see if someone here could help me out with my warranty question. I am the second owner of my Xb and it only has 23,000 miles on it, would warranty still cover it even though I'm the second owner?

It should, your factory warranty should still be in effect and I think you are 2k shy of the Roadside warranty expiring.

Please let us know how it works out -- don't believe I've heard of a valve tap issue with these engines. 'Course, if the engine oil get's too old or dirty, that can create problems !

Thanks, guys, I spoke to the dealer and they said I'm still covered under warranty. I'm dropping it off tonight. I'm just afraid their going to tell me what I'm hearing is normal. I know it isn't cause it ran quiet as a mouse before. I've never gone past 5,000 miles on an oil change in it, bought it with 7,000miles on it originally, so I doubt that was enough time for the original owner to go to long on an oil change either. I've always used Pennzoil 5w-20 in it, so its not like i've used a poor quality oil either. I hope to hear something from them sometime tomorrow.

well, this was a poor dealership experience. I dropped it off wenesday evening for thursday morning and was told they would call me thursday to let me know what they found. Thursday came and went, no call, I figured, ok, maybe they found something and are fixing it. I finally called them at lunch today, and after being on hold for awhile, I was told that it was done and that they had called me around 5pm thursday and left a message on my cellphone. Funny, it never rang, and I had no missed calls. Then they tell me that the tech was not able to replicate the problem and that it ran normally. I said, thats funny, it has the tap all the time, and it didn't have that until this past sunday. I'd say that isn't running normally. So, I guess I'm done with them. I'm going to try another dealer near me, maybe go down on my lunch break and have a tech listen to it before I drop it off and am without it for atleast a day again only to have them tell me its "normal."
