Just wondering if anyone with a xb2 is running a grounding kit, if so which one, any performance gain, worth buying... blahblahblah

^^ Find out what gauge wire it comes with. The pic looks like 12 gauge wire. 12 gauge wire is a littler too thin IMO. I think going 8 gauge wire is better. I've seen people use 4 gauge also but it's a little harder to work with since it's really fat and not as pliable. Home Depot sells 6 & 8 gauge wire if you want to go the cheap way.

Please report back and let us know how it works for you. I read a lot of nay sayers about these ground kits on doing absolutely nothing for the car and may actually cause problems (Ground loops, etc...). I also read about better engine idling, brighter headlights and better stereo sound, etc..... Unless something was already majorly wrong with the ground system, noticeable HP gain is probably a stretch IMO. Good luck and let us know. I hope you bring good news also, since I'm planning on doing the same..... just to see if it works. It it doesn't, it's easily reversible.

You must be kidding! I thought you'd leave it alone after my last note when I said that Toyota wasn't going to waste their time trying to prosecute. Your ad posting uses a fraudulent picture with the TRD lettering, TRD logo, and words "TRD Racing Development" in Toyota's font. If that isn't false advertising I don't know what is. (And neither does my sister-in-law who is a corporate copyright infringement attorney.) Beyond that, you DO advertise them as "100% brand new Toyota Blue Ground wire system", and Toyota claims no affiliation with their production or licensed production. Any way you look at it, this appears to be serious internet fraud. You should change your name to ButterMilkSpeed.

Im gonna be getting the SUN AUTO HYPER GROUND SYSTEM along with the SUN HYPER VOLTAGE SYSTEM. My friend has them in his tC and def saw a little difference and plus it looks cool under the hood. LOL

 

I wouldnt. All this does is upgrade the grounding and you spending much more than what you need to. If you want to upgrade the grounding system. The exact some process is to just upgrade your existing grounds in the car and that will work just the same. I did it in my civic and to be honest I didnt notice any difference. Friends of mine have and they didnt notice anything either.

Just remember people say that this works based on what they feel, and if we all think butt dynos much be accurate, thinking this works is the same. Unless someone can prove me wrong beyond just I felt and it seemed like it idled better.

Under the hood is all perception. I came from a wire tucking background where you dont want to see wires at all. It just makes it look cluttered to me.

 

Grounding kits are completely useless unless you have a crazy amounts of power running amps, lights, etc. I did get one for my TC because I like the look under the hood, but I ended up taking it out because of it's uselessness.

They do. See 2nd post again; when I sent the questions to TRD, I included the link to the eBay auction item.

 

I just made my own. Much easier, and you can make the wire the thickness you want. I redid the factory grounds in 4 gauge.

 

Did anyone notice a difference after installing a homebrew grounding kit?

 

Yes i am aware that toyota knows about it. just dont know if the seller knows that fact. I have yet to get a response.

 

never noticed a difference in my civic. So I dont see how it will improve here either. I think just a waste of money, unless you are going the show route.
