Default hey guys new around here

Alright so I just purchased an 08 with 215k miles (yes, I know high)
I was confident in buying a toyota product with such high mileage, everything on it works great

Although I found this noise when the ac is off, I'm confident it's just a pulley but want another opinion thanks!

With AC on noise goes away, just did oil change when purchased no metal flakes, everything looks good and tight, so i've ruled our rod bearings.

Could be a no. of things but maybe something simple like the idler pulley. With that many miles, things can start to go south. With some proactive maintenance one would hope you can get 50K more miles out of it

It's definitely nothing related to physical engine, definitely a pulley of some sort, just need to get in there with a stethiscope.
It'll definitely go more then 50k, lol.

The engine itself is in top shope for the amount of miles, no oil burning, etc.
