i am thinking about to get one.. i would get magnaflow.... i dont know about obx... maybe its just as good. the problem is that i can only fit it behind the aero resonator... and the muffler shop told me that it needs to go before the resonator.... i dont get it what difference it would make... i just want to keep all that noise and rasp down. even if i loose hp. its just waaaay too loud.

well magnaflow was the only one ive seen so far for my xB2. i was just wondering if there are anyothers out there.

as far as the TC exhaust piping...i have no clue how it looks. right now im running Strup ceramic header, stock s-pipe,stock cat/resonator, stock midpipe, greddy SE exhaust. next month im ordering a weapon-r s-pipe,High flow cat, and a custom midpipe.

It's a question of how catalytic converters work. The gases have to be hot for the catalyst to be effective. Inserting resonators between the exhaust manifold and the cats reduces conversion efficiency by dissipating the needed heat.

FWIW -- ScionFred posted that both OE cats are high flow metal substrate. Don't know where he go that info, just passing it along.

I don't remember what the second cat input pipe is, but I'm certain the output is less than 2.5". I would consider 2.5" to be a lusty size for an OE N/A economy car, so I would be surprised if any of the exhaust piping is as big as that.

Best high flow cat I have used over the years is a Random Tech one. We use them all the times on Lotus, Porsche, Vipers, Scions, Mitsu.....
