hey finally posting had headers in for a couple weeks now exhaust in since wednesday
they sound ok. together still pretty quite but going to go magnaflow high-flow cat and flowmaster resonator with 2.25 pipes soon

the sound clip is a little louder than in person but sounds about right

Thanks for posting the movie clip. I think the sound level still sounds acceptible... not tooo loud... yet. I'm thinking after your next upgrades (magnaflow high-flow cat and flowmaster resonator), the sound level may be over the edge.... too loud. I hope you can share more pics and vids.... thanks again!

Oyeah......Please post pic of the weapon-r header? I'm very interested in putting one in also.

welll the camera was right under exhaust thats why was so loud
in person not even that loud
hopefully with upgrades will be just right

 

sounds pretty good.

I got my HKS axleback on thursday and its pretty quiet but sounds really good. I want it to be louder but dont want to sacrifice the sound quality just to be louder.

I want the header for the performance but once again, dont wanna sacrifice sound for it.

 

yea i like the performance plus of the headers
but just to warn you like guy from weapon r posted
the header has a lot of resonance
basically you can really hear the air going through the header and spipe

i still love it but that and the sound of the extra air hitting the stock cat kind of over takes the actual exhaust tone in cabin wise

I dont like how all of the headers on these cars arent ceramic coated from the manuf.

Its a PITA to get things coated if you are only getting one piece done. These places can sent 20 headers at a time and get a huge discount on the ceramic coating.

I think the exhaust wrap will look a lot better than a blueing/yellowing header.

 

yea i was going to go header wrap but was doing some research and i read a couple people say the wraps hold in the head and cause premature death of headers

but yea one guy had weaponr headers and they craked and everything after 6months

Does any other header makers have ceramic coated ones as an option?

btw ... does the weapon-r header come with the "trick CEL" thingy also? What does that thing actually do anyway? Any possible harm to the engine if used?

 

i know the strup offer a ceramic coated header
they look sexy btw

my weapon r header was 1 of the 1st 3 destributed and so came with cel for $500 but idk if they are going to be offering it for all orders

the CEL eliminator jus is a little "L" peice that u put between spipe and O2 sensor to devert the air extra air cuz of better air flow so a CEl isnt triggerd

jus be sure when u put the CEL thing in its not touching or really close to drive axle
didnt pay attention when 1st put on and it was rubbing but fixed next day

and no harm to engine
its just baically tricking the computer so u dont get a CEL light

 

If you cleaned the header with alcohol prior to starting the car after install the header would have been goldish brown.. MINUS the burnt finger prints..

 

thanks but prob get jet hot to keep engine pay cooler anyways
