im liking the throws right now just wish it was a little lower...does anyone have a diagram or documentation of the 5 speed all apart? is it possible to cut it? i wouldnt have a problem re threading it after i cut it... just curious about how to open it all up to see it...

you can cut and re-thread the stock shifter. any of the tech articles for short shifter installs can get you where you want.

 

I'm so glad I ordered mine with the TRD short shifter! Don't know what it's like yet, but I'll let you guys know as soon as my BSP xB2 gets here. Should be here tomorrow morning!

 

where are these tech articles? can you point me to somethint that shows how to dissassemble to shifeter boot...does it just have clips and i can pry it up with a screw driver? i will document it myseld when i finaly get to doin it...

well thats for an older one...i do know how to swap out a shifter..but what concerns me is the square housing...there is something on and i have no idea what it looks like...ill try to get into it tomorrow...
