My question is. What exactly is the scuba tank in the exhaust system?Is it a resonator and cat combined, or just one of the other?I am also wondering how much, if any power, it robs. I am looking at the tsudo cat-back dual exhaust and a picture i saw looked like it only went to that "scuba tank" thing... Thanks all! And are not all the headers for the xb2s come with the s-pipe, I heard the weapon R was one of the only ones to come with that piece.

 

its a cat in the first half and resonator/muffler/silencer/sound killer the second half.. i talked to weapon-r and they guessed around 10hp if you did straight pipe..

as for the tsudo and any other "scuba-back" (i just invented that name copyright miketf1 ) dont expect any huge power.. the exhaust flow has slowed so much past the scuba that it doesnt really matter anymore.. realistically youre going to get something like 2HP from a scuba-back.. import tuner dynoed the TRD axleback and made 1HP if you dont believe what i say..

as for the s-pipe, the weapon-r header comes with one and they just released another spipe for those with the stock or strup header. there is also a ebay brand header/spipe combo but i dont trust ebay parts cause having a cracked header is no joke

 

haha scuba back! makes sense.So replacing the scuba with a straight flow resonator or even a glasspack before a nice "scuba-back" should give up some power w/out being too terribly loud??? IDK thats why I ask...LOL.Oh and is there a O2 sensor after the scube/cat that would throw a CEL if removed? Ah, I hate to mess anything up!... Thanks again!

 

we have one O2 sensor before the cat in the header and one in the s-pipe. if you remove the scuba it wont throw a CEL but it might not be street legal. check your local laws but in CA if you remove an emissions control part it is not street legal.

as for noise, its going to be loud. from what i recall, the tC guys go for something like a 28 inch resonator to keep it bearable. also dont get too big of piping because it resonates and makes it louder

 

Im running the Tsudo Dual exhaust and love it, but i realie realie wanna get rid of the Scuba Tank. Im moveing to Florida soon were there is no emissions and replaceing the Scuba tank is on the Top of my list alonge with Wepone-R Header/S-Spipe combo. and wow that dame thing could be holding back like 10 or more HP man its gotta go!!!!
