Hi, Does anyone got a ticket for an after market header? was it a fixer or penalty ticket or both? if so how much was the penalty? ty

It depends on where you live. In Cali replacing the OEM exhaust with a header gets rid of the primary cat, which is a major No No in the great land of CARB laws. It's usually a ticket with a big fat fine that requires inspection and approval of OEM parts back on the car by an Air Resources referee... many hundreds of dollars later.

If the police actually look it would be a fix it, and you'll have to have to car sent to the ref station for bar to approve the repair. If your in cali. And yes the police will know the difference, but they probably won't be looking unless you were doing something stupid in the first place

tnx... guess just install the original heat sheild on top and wish they dont notice it
