There's another thread about this...lol.

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=239875

Except in that thread, it's only the axleback. This is a catback with a TRD Knock-off axleback section. I wouldn't buy it. The internal structure of the resonator and muffler are probably pure fiberglass (cheap fiberglass, may I also add) and the chances of it sounding good are not likely

i was thinking of the same thing but can't we just get the scuba replacement piece and the mid pipe and forget about the muffler.

Didn't you read what I said after the link? I knew that already.

The TRD Knock-off, like the exhaust you posted, is probably china-made or something, so they quality between them should probably be similar, which is why I thought about posting the link.

For $160 for a full 2 1/2" cat back seems like a good deal to me... Even if the resonators arent the greatest you can always change out the straight one with a better quaility product later... I might consider this later if i do full exhuast with headers....

I am strongly considering it. The knockoff doesnt sound bad on video and its a great deal for an s pipe back exhaust. I want to grab the one with header. i figure even if I dont end up liking it I can probably piece it out and not take much of a loss. I made an offer on some magnaflow mufflers so if that is accepted someone else will need to step up and be the guinea pig but if not I will.

i emailed them to see what pieces of the exhaust this actually replaces. With the header combo it seems to replace both cats. I will find out shortly and post up the answer. It almost looks as if it might change out everythig but I am not exactly sure.

If it was 2.25" piping I'd consider it. 2.5" exhaust are too loud for my taste & getting rid of the scuba tank would be make it even worse. Maybe just installing the axelback wouldn't be so bad.

Doing that will probably kill the point of getting this. It'll probably go like this:

160 + shipping for catback
350 + shipping for axle back

At that point you might as well make your own catback.

i do have a full 2.5" custom exhaust w/o scuba tank w/tanabe touring muffler right now and i really likes it alot but for the last 2 weeks i'm feeling alittle more backpressure than before. the acceleration is still great but the backpressure is getting to me. i know too much backpressure isn't good for the engine at all so i'm looking for a change. if i were to wait 2 months i would of gotten this.
anyone going to take the plunge

How are you "feeling more backpressure"...?

After closer examination of the pictures and comparing them to the underbody pictures that speed element provided with thier catback installed. I thik that this is just from the scuba tank back and actually adds what looks to be a resonator in the plumbing after the cat.
I asked zenmotorsports what pieces this catback replaces and recieved an email from zenmotorsports saying that it includes "headers, cat, and catback. the cat is not included, and you would still have to use the oem cat." I'm now more confused because that states it replaces the cat but you have to use the oem cat? I don't get it.
I guess I will try again to get an answer that makes sense...

if you look at the pipe in the OP picture the center piece with the resonator LOOKS like it replaced the OEM "scuba".. i think that because it has that slight bend at the top which looks like the bend that the OEM "scuba" has to clear the subframe and attach to the s-pipe..

the top pipe looks like it goes from the supplied resonator piece to the axleback and obviously there is a supplied axleback that attaches to that.. based on this is how some of us feel that this goes from s-pipe back..
