if you think the throws are too long and impercise on your shifter, then yeah, it might be worth it, but if you like it just fine, then not really.

it's alright, but I would like the feel of a short shift... the xB2 already has a short throw IMO compared to my last vehicle. a 1992 4runner.

Here is a link to our website. We sell it for $116.00 and it reduces the throw by 35%

Try some bushings and see how you like that. The shifter alone seemed to make my shifter more notchy but with the bushings as well its pretty nice. Still notchy though!

Either the NST ones or the ones Doc Isotope sells. I have the Doc I plastic ones and they work fine. Both the "quick" shifter and bushings will go in the same place so its best to do them at the same time.

Yeah save money for curtains n shiz... lol jk. The shifter doesnt actually reduce **** height, just the throws. It goes under the hood on the tranny linkage.

it doesn't shorten the shifter rod?? that sucks.. I do like the shorter shifter look, and the reduced throw would be nice as well.

Um no. A short throw shifter like the TRD one is an extension of the lower rod of the shifter. And yes, some of them are shorter on top. By extending the bottom of the shifter you reduce the distance it has to travel to engage those gears!

And for those that care, TWM Performance will have one out soon.

ok, but like I said. They don't make it yet. Since it shares the same ____ box and shaft as the Matrix, they are going to release them at the same time.

What are you talking about? Are you talking about the very first TRD short throw shifter that was discontinued? Cause the current one isnt related to the shift rod at all... Unless youre talking about the linkage.

^ I see now, I looked up the instructions! That has to be the dumbest thing I have ever seen! Talk about making an install hard on the consumer.

Now with that though, if you reduce the throw from there and someone makes one that works at the shift box, your throw would be so ridiculously small!

so now I am really confused.. does the TRD S.S. actually shorten the shift rod? or just the throw of the stock rod? where did you find the instructions for it???
