take out your intake look down on the throttle body you will see two hoses on the bottom just connect them together so you can get out the hot coolant from flowing through it

in doing so your throttle will stick in cold weather and stuff

YES you could have that problem im down here in Puerto Rico so for me no problems do it @ your own risk

Highly unlikely unless you are in extreme cold. but it could happen i guess. your underhood tempertures are warm even in below zero weather.

yeah in new york dont do it i would get throttle stick anything below 30 the problem is a warm motor will condensate on a cold day causing freezing i would keep them hooked up your not going to see much gain for doing so

well guys getting closer to my goal went to the dyno again yesterday i took my balance shafts out and gained 3 more whp im waiting on the header form nolimitzind and it should put me in the 170 range i also ordered a apexi neo for tuning the fuel so i think i will get 170+ later some cams and i think i can get 180+ without opening the block WILL KEEP YOU POSTED ON MY QUEST FOR THE 180 whp XB2

Cool, i have the same mods as you except balanceshaft delete but i do have my scuba deleted. how does the engine run with no balance shafts?

the engine runs great with no balance shaft not really a big difference taking them out i still have stock exhaust will delete scuba after header and S pipe install

Notice any problems from yanking out the balance shafts? (I realize this thread is old, but thats kind of why I'm asking. I want to see if the balance shaft removal affected the engine over time)

There's tC guys that have done this and, to my knowledge, everything works fine and has been. So who knows. If you can find a motor cheap enough, try it out. I have a guy with a blown 2AZFE he's selling me for $200. Probably just needs main bearings or the balance shafts are toast.

Just picked up an nst 20% underdrive pulley and belt for $50. Looking forward to installing it and my ksports this weekend.
