where's the torque?
i know its a 4 cyl engine, but with 2.4l, we should have gobs of torque. this is a revv happy engine, but has not torque below 3500 rpm. my older nissan sentra with the sr20de 2.0l had more torque, even with lower hp.
need torque!
need torque!
it also depends if yours a auto or 5spd. i think it's good enough for a heavy eco box. i drove from L.A. to S.F. w/o stressing the car. it goes uphill quite smooth enough if i want to speed up just drop a gear or 2 and it just pull right away. btw mines a 5spd
I wish these xb's had the option of turbos from the factory. Like the srt-4s. Stage 1, 2 or 3. That would of been cool. Not the biggest turbo but its a turbo and would of been a good option since its only a 4 cylinder
Some people are catching on. Chevy is putting a turbo in their HHR from the factory. I was just saying it would of been a cool option since they market these "cheap" cars to the younger crowds. Theres nothing wrong with that. The Stage 3 Srt-4 will kick some ___ on the street. Trust me i know Scion will never come out with something really kick ___ from the factory, yes they are cheap. But if they ever wanna step up their game there gonna have to do something kick ___ to keep up with the market.
its a 4 cyl work horse economy engine, where do you expect the torque to be? why does it have to arrive below 3500 rpms? just downshift to 4000 rpms where torque peaks and your good to go. just don't upshift so early all the time.

But I figured I'd just boost mine eventually and keep the great resale value scions have.
