i killed my stage 5 after 1000 miles and i month i got it out yesterday i handled it i will be calling clutch masters today say wtf stage 5 my but lol

here are the pics i blew the splines out on the clutch and the input shaft for the tranny i had to replace it to what a day took me 3.5 hours still have about a hour left to button things up

 

seriously wtf stage 5 should be able to handle a LOT more power than what you're making right now.

 

i know i am pretty sure it was the bearing i started squeeking and sounding like a midget hitting things with a hammer in the trannie the prongs got toasted the clutch looks fine its the pressure plate

 

WTF would you want to put a stage 5 clutch in a street car???

 

Did you go easy on it for the first 500 miles or were beating the crap out of it from day 1?

 

idk why people are like oh my god stage 5 its not that hard its almost like a stock clutch with some chatter

and yes it got broke in properly
to a spun flywheel
so who knows

 

yeah man call em, 1000K on a clutch is crazy.. or maybe you are now like around 2000hp

did you take the time to break it in for a 1000 miles. Your not supposed to smash on it at all. You have to drive a lot of city miles and baby it.

looks like the splines on the clutch are gone....its an unsprung clutch huh?....iv heard of this happening with unsprung before.

 

did it hurt the input shaft bad...looks like it deff got abused but is it bad?

 

What clutch do you plan to use this time?

 

the input shaft was bad i replaced it as for what clutch now i think ima go stage 7 and i better get a good deal on it from clutch masters
