Default TC SC on xB2?

So I found someone who is selling their TC kit minus engine management for around $2200. I want to put it on my xB, any SC gurus out there that can help me with part numbers and such I would have to purchase in order to retrofit the SC kit? All help is appreciated, thanks!

Save up a little more and go turbo. The TRD S/C (all models) are extremely unreliable. Would hate to see you spend that kind of money and later down the road have the bearings go out in it.

Unfortunately the TC S/C kit doesn't fit the XB without a lot of work. You'd be better off looking into a turbo kit from Descendant, FastScions, Ancla or Treadstone.

Ran my supercharger for 2 years strong with no issues when i had it.
But trust me on this. you will want more power soon after and there isnt anything you can do to make a significant amount of it with s/c. Save a little more money and go turbo. You wont regret it.. I know i didnt.

Unfortunately I live in Cali, where the smog laws were first created.. Turbo sounds great, especially considering I've owned a non factory turbo car in the past but I'm looking for something smog legal where I don't have to worry about taking it all off come registration time and incase mr po po wants to pop my hood. Can anyone help me out regarding my main post in terms of what parts I'd need to convert aside from a fuel management system?

I believe that you would need custom mounting brackets for the SC, custom piping from the airbox to the SC and a different SC drive belt. The XB has electric PS and slightly diferent motor mounts as well as a 3" pipe from the airbox vs 2.5" for the TC.

Instead of making new brackets you could try sourcing them from a dealer or boneyard (Assuming that XB brackets would work with the TC SC). As for EM, you could try to find a dealer to do the TRD XB re-flash or add your own piggyback and tune.

Thank you ScionFred, now I know what direction I should be looking towards! It does sound like quite alot, maybe I can bring the price down but the chances of that are unlikely. I'm surprised however if the SC unit itself is different, thus causing all the fitment issues. Hmmm..

You're welcome. I wish I knew more about this TC-XB SC swap but AFAIK it has yet to be done. Good luck if you decide to pursue it and please post your results.
